I was gonna say exactly this. Unless it's just a cutscene, which i doubt, it should mean he can tag along in the car and on foot with Franklin. I still have hopes that we can command him or something, it would be f*cking ace if we can sic him on just about anyone, yes i would love that. Really one of the very first things i will be checking out when this badboy finally releases. It's gonna depend on how GTA V starts and if we can switch characters right away, of course. I don't think there has been a single confirmation from Rockstar or through any of their demos of Chop being anything other than a presence in the game. While it looks like he may be available outside of missions, I would never count on it until it is confirmed. Chop does feature heavily in screenshots and trailers, but it's unclear as to what Chop's role is or to what level the player will be able to interact with him. I'm just playing RDR now & even after sinking hundreds of hours into this game, I'm still finding new things. If you whistle at the black/white dog that roams around Manzanita Post in Tall Trees, he'll follow you wherever you go. He doesn't attack any hostile animals that attack you, but he does howl when they come after you. I'm going to see if I can get him to follow me to the other side of the map. You can see Chop on Franklin's trailer when he jumps over Franklin's car to attack enemies while Franklin shoots, he's in artworks, he's ar the front yard during a house party, always with a collard, and you see him driving with Franklin. Either way its a dog, the role of the dog will be.. to be a dog, and bite a few people. Maybe he'll get into a love affair or get mixed in with the Triads. Who knows. He may not be in a single mission, but he will obviously play a more minor role than everyone believed. He's also following Franklin in the gameplay trailer, im sure at some point you will have custody of Chop and you can choose whether to leave him at the house or take him with you.
