i while ago i created topic in which i discussed whether we will be able to rape and kill humans in the game. the topic got deleted. wtf? f*cking hypocrites.

but yes, i think it would be nice i we can torture, rape and brutally kill people in the game.

imagine: you pick up hitchhikers, and bring them in your basement, tie them up, cut off their limbs (slowly), then force them to eat their own limbs. later you can just rape them orally (personal preference) and kill.

that's what it's all about guys.

People like this is why you should always carry a gun on you. THE MORE YOU KNOW! turn.gif

It would be cool to kidnap peds throw them in the trunk of the car and take them to the woods and bury them alive!

Max Payne 3 gore, or maybe a bit improved would be just fine.

Not exploding heads when you fire a shotgun or something like that, that would be disgusting

I like going on a rampage killing people but if they added limbs n heads being blown off it would take the fun away... it would be scarily realistic especially with the graphics and how the game is for atmosphere. Id prefer bodies stay in tact.

I do not think we need body dismemberment and blood shooting out of injuries, the mechanics from IV were just fine, I've seen my fair share of terrible accidents, trust me, that is not stuff you want to recreate.

I hope that when you blast someone in the face with a shotgun, their head explodes like in the Manhunt games. In that series, blowing some schmuck's head off was so satisfying. In GTA IV...not so much. I keep waiting for the Scanners-style head explosion but...it never happens, guys. It never happens. *turns away, holding back tears*

Your profile Pic couldn't be more fitting

OT: It will be the same as IV, like in that part from Franklin's Trailer where he shoots a Ballas with a shotgun+Flashlight, but since It is a more colorful game It will be fine and fun to see the blood splashes

I saw that you can see bullet wounds in both michael (Sniper shot) and franklins (Shotgun+flashlight) trailers. I think you can also see it in the picture of franklin drive by screenshot where he is shooting at 4-5 ballas.

Personally I enjoyed RDR violence level. Im a huge fan of Rockstar's implementation of Euphoria.

I was just going to mention the exit wound and blood splatter deff look new in V. I like this for the realism.

But honestly.. IRL can get rather grotesque. Car accidents for one thing, and If one were to stand if front of a train in V... I wonder..

I hope the melee gore is more realistic and satisfying. Blades should slice and stab while blunt objects should smash and even cave-in.

How gory does a game need to be before people become so completely desensitized to violence that they become a real life sociopath?

Signatures are dumb anyway.

Good point, I do not see the need for extensive gore, despite the ratings way too many kids under the age of 18 will still get their hands on the game. The ratings are there for a reason, yet it always happens

That's really not my point.

I'm basically saying that anyone that wants this game to be 'like totally violent with blood coming out of the tv and everything' needs to evaluate themselves thoroughly.

I'm of the opinion that violent games do NOT cause people to become violent, just like 'video nasties' didn't. I mean, I'm pretty sure people were eviscerating each other with crudely fashioned weapons when monobrows and animal fur loinclothes were the height of fashion. But publicly airing an opinion that is, essentially, saying you want to look at really f*cked up sh*t does nothing for the cause of video games. It just feeds the millions of f*cking idiots out there who believe that violence in video games causes people to go nuts, rather than an underlying mental illness.

Those that are wanting a really violent game with ultra realistic gore... maybe they actually do have a problem.

Yeah I'd say thats a sign of some deep seated emotional issues, pretty disturbing sh*t, why would you want to rape a woman in a video game? Only reason I can figure is that a part of you wants to do it in real life, and that is some f*cked up sh*t

But the rest? It's virtual violence. Not real. NOT REAL. Do you get that? Because you are asking people to turn themselves in for PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION for committing violence in a video game. I don't care who you are, that's just f*cking stupid.

That whoosh of air above you? That's my point going right over your head.

I play video games. I play GTA. I play violent video games. I know it has desensitized me to violence to some degree.

That's a world apart from posting on a forum about your personal preference for how you would like to torture people. Describing in graphic detail what you would do to people.

That's a symptom of psychopathy. It's genuinely quite disturbing. The fact that you are able to overlook what people are describing and dismiss it as a bit of harmless chat about games is equally unpleasant.

I would imagine these people that are describing utterly abhorrent gore fantasies are the sort of people who seek out ultra-violent videos on the internet. Videos of actual torture or murder. Snuff. The stuff that is illegal for a reason.

Whilst I understand that R* touched on this stuff in Manhunt, they provided a motivation for it, using an unwilling character as a device for a psychopath to act out his evil fantasies. Providing ultra-violence as, essentially, a mini game or a passing feature in the game is not a good plan if they ever want their game to be released. Or if they ever intend to weather the storm of anti-violent game nutjobs who want games like this banned.

Anybody who blurs the line of fictional pixels and reality is probably the most unstable minded. Ever since a kid my favorite genre in movies has been Horror. I love gore in fiction like comics, games, and movies, but I can't stand to see blood IRL. It grosses me out. Even Faces Of Death and sh*t like that disgusts me to watch. But I LOVE the fictional pixelated counter-part.

I see it as art created by people who are very talented. When some guy wants to collect ears.. people call it weird and he has problems. BUT I believe that necklace is similar to the one in WALKING DEAD, worn by darrel.. tho i doubt he licks them hahahah. My point is.. The writters from walking dead are not psychotic. Nor is Steven King. Nor is Frank Miller... just creative artists who think far outside the box..

Rape on the other hand should not be included in any GTA game ever IMO, an entire different violence that makes me uncomfterble to think about. Fictional or Non.

Funny. I do seek out videos of mortal kombat fatalities on youtube, but you couldn't pay me to rewatch the Budd Dwyer suicide.

Because I can tell what's real and what's not. Real violence disturbs me. Game violence and movie violence does not.

You're assuming that because people want to see some more blood pixels in a video game that they must also watch real violence and snuff films on youtube. That's a really big stretch, and kind of bullsh*t.

It's kind of bullsh*t that people are now trying to justify themselves and their morbid interest in violence.

I can see the point some of you are making here - that you don't see the correlation between a video game and reality. Fine, I get that.

But there have been people in here describing 'video game fantasies'. Fantasies that exist in your mind. Really dark, cruel fantasies. If you can't see that there's something within you that actually wants that, whether it be in a video game, a movie or reality, then you're absolutely deluding yourself and dwelling deeply within a state of denial. People have described how they want to tie people up and inflict torture. Can you honestly not see that even fantasising about that is symptomatic of something much, much deeper?

In all my 36 years on this hate-filled ball of mud we call Earth, I've never once dreamed, fantasized, whatever, about kidnapping and murdering someone. Or putting them through immense amounts of pain for their pleasure.

Even if it's a fantasy, there's something deeply unpleasant about it. Even if it's acted out in a video game. Even if it's acted out with Barbie dolls. It's all the same symptom of a dark and unpleasant tendency to want... something brutal.

I can clearly see that people justifying that desire are not going to be able to recognise that in themselves. So I guess it's utterly futile for me to try and discuss this with you lot any further. Go ahead, have your twisted little dreams and enjoy them. Just stay the f*ck away from other people.

Give this guy a f*cking medal! Excellent points. I was raised on horror as well. There's fantasy and reality, two extremely different worlds. As long as a person is aware of those differences, there's no problem with graphic violence in art and media. Of course there are disturbed people out there who confuse fantasy with the real world. But those people? They will commit violent acts anyway. Mental illness and psychopathy has existed long, long before video games and movies. It's a sad truth of humanity.

Alright, I'm rambling. My point? Let the fake blood n' gore run freely and copiously! biggrin.gif

So you have never had a violent fantasy once in your life? I mean, you're part of a virtual mafia group, dude.

Everyone has dark fantasies. The sickos are the ones that act on them in real life. And a video game is not reality.
