Wolvington
RIP, 51 is just too young. Wow, nowadays 51 is a young age, thanks to development in the medical fields. Anyways, my condolences. RIP
Liberty2k7
Its really weird, the news that Jim gandolfini has passed away has had a really emotional effect on me that has made me rethink my own life and consider my own mortality. Tony Soprano was a character I always really related to, mainly due to gandolfinis incredibly gifted acting ability. He will be sorely missed in the world of cinema and is probably the best actor of his generation. Rest in peace T, you may have died at the end of the series, and now in our own reality, but you will live on in the hearts of everyone you touched. I'm so gutted. Punk-in-Drublic
Rest in peace James Gandolfini. You will be truly missed. You wasn’t just an actor, Tony Soprano wasn’t just a character and The Sopranos wasn’t just a T.V show; I could always count on you and The Sopranos to make me happy whenever I was feeling like sh*te. I don’t think I’ve ever sat and watched any other T.V show half as much as I’ve watched The Sopranos. This news has genuinely depressed me. FAH-Q
Thats what happens when you eat too many cannolis. And he was only 51? I thought he was at least in his 60's.
Padmasana
He was simply imperious as Tony Soprano and I am absolutely gutted, especially as it feels so personal as I am mid-way through re-watching The Sopranos. He was a legend. Yee, I've been re-watching it as well. Just finished season 3. Tragic! R.I.P.

orbitalraindrops
Great actor. Was he obese or just extremely stocky/ muscular? I think his weight must have had a large role to play in his heart attack (If that is even what he died from).
Vagos MC
God damn shame! I was talking about him on Tuesday, and on Wedensday he dies.. He was in Rome, Italy to be awarded at a film fest in Sicily. He and his son, Michael, were apparently have a sight-seeing in Rome and it was meant to be a very hot day. He was quite fat aswell. In his hotel bathroom, he collapsed and his son found him laying on the floor. The Italian paramedics came 40 minutes later and he was still breathing, but died upon arrival at a hospital in Rome. His wife who he married in 2008, wasn't on the trip. She is meant to come over to Rome and get his body shipped over to the United States. R.I.P - Absolute Mafia legend. In my world, De Niro, Pacino and Gandolfini are the best.
DarrinPA
The Italian paramedics came 40 minutes later and he was still breathing, but died upon arrival at a hospital in Rome. 40 minutes is quite a slow response time. Anyways, RIP.
Vagos MC
Yeah, I agree with you. Imagine if they were at the hotel 15-20 minutes after he collapsed. He probably would of been saved, or had a higher chance of surviving.

John The Grudge
Good to know Never watch sopranos better start watching now Rip How many eps is anyway? There's about 13 episodes per season. Season 6 is split into two because the writers strike happened at that time. If any TV series is worth shelling out for it's The Sopranos.
Dr-Mayhem111
I cannot even begin to say how much this brilliant actor meant to everyone. His character as Tony Soprano was the admiration of many people. I know we were all hoping for more James Gandolfini films in the future. We've lost one great actor and idol, may he rest in peace. Rjeev142
It's always upsetting to find out about such a great series after the death of a major actor involved in the series. I just bought a box set of the sopranos season 1. RIP james On a slightly different note, I'm actually really happy that Michael from GTA V has a few similarities to Tony Soprano in terms of family life! mas negro
I really cried because of it!! I'm just so sad! He and my husband have the same age... I just hope it wasn't caused because of drugs!!! Great actor. Your husband? Well you should check out the movie "The mexican" starring Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt AND Gandolfini. the latter plays a homosexual killer there. Very cool. I think this topic isn't touched by many. Many men try to distance themselves from homosexuals if it isn't lesbians. But look at GAY TONY. He blew away many cliches. If I would want some character return from the 4-era it would be him. Gay Tony was smart, funny, very stylish and not a cliched homo like Bernie. Anyway Cidamelo you got my respect by talking openly about your homosexuality.
