Audiophile
I think he has a 9-month old daughter in addition to his 13 year old son. I think I'm going to finally get around to re-watching The Sopranos. -Eddie-
Damn dude this really f*cking ruined my day here....James from what I see in the interviews, he seems like a really down to earth dude and pretty shy and reserved dude. Way the opposite than his character on the show.... He was reserved, that's something I really liked about him. This photo (coincidentally it's been my avatar for a long time) is him dealing with the paparazzi in his usual style.

Typhus
Article from 1988, back when he was a struggling actor trying to catch a break. Hard to believe that the guy who was apparently constantly moving around with all his worldly possessions in trash bags would become such a success: http://www.nytimes.com/1988/05/29/realesta...-manhattan.html

arsenal_fan
My friend txted me that he died and I thought he was taking the piss, but I checked on wiki when I got home and I'm devastated he is dead which is rare for me when it comes to celebrities. I know he was over weight but he wasn't morbely orbese, so to die at 51 like this was really shocking. Fantastic actor, he will be mised
A loaded rifle
R.I.P James, I hope your in a better place. Guess I should pick up a Gandolfini autograph for my signature collection.
Finn 7 five 11
I used to own every episode of the Soprano's on VHS, I never watched it though except the other day when there was an episode on TV, I gave the VHS to my uncle as he was more a tv buff than me, perhaps i'll get into it, I really did like the episode I watched. This kinda reminds me of how other actors are getting old too and I might see them die one day, Morgan Freeman, Will Smith, Seinfeld, Ray Romano as a couple first-in-mind examples. Well thing about it is James wasn't that old. 51 is a young ass age to get a heart attack from. But I do see what you mean, especially Morgan Freeman. Acehilm
I have to say, this is one of the only times I've almost cried from any actor, on such magnitude as this, dying.

Yeah, I hear what you're saying, it's ridiculous though, I mean that all these actors could be approaching a similar fate, Will Smith is 44 years old now... tom_p1980
It's 8.33am UK time and this is not what I wanted to hear about when I woke up. So shocking and saddening that this has happened to such a talented and much loved actor. Celeb deaths rarely get to me, however this is one of those rare ones that has. I'm still in shock and cannot believe it. RIP James Gandolfini You will be missed by all.
