As soon as they offer a package that does not force the Kinnect on me and drops the price to match Sony then I will consider purchasing the xbox one. Zero interest in Kinnect or any device in my home that can easily be hacked and invade my privacy. Pre-ordered PS4 last week and will stick to that.

Well PS4 still is better. Cheaper and better hardware. I have a right to criticize people's opinion. You have one too. If you post a comment on here there will always be someone who criticizes it. Why would any smart person want to buy a console that almost took your rights away? If you don't care about those rights then get out of gaming cause you're only hurting real gamers.

I never said you don't have the right, but why not respect someone's decision? Lets say that someone tells me that they are gonna buy the new COD, but I like BF4 better. I am not going to say "Wow you are a retard, everyone knows BF is better."

 

The "real" gamers are on the PC, and from your perspective it seems that anyone that is not on a PS is a retard nerd.

Everyone knows PS is my favorite. I hate the PC elitist and I show them 0 respect. I do respect pc gamers. I also respect both 360 and Nintendo gamers. I would play Nintendo products more but they got hardly any AAA titles. 360 had some great games. Same with PC.

 

We all know PC is the best. But PC isn't a console. So why compare a console to a computer? I just want to know why someone would spend $100 more plus $10 more online for a console that almost took your rights away? It isn't smart to support someone who tried to take your rights away and is in control in what ever you do. If PS4 did that I wouldn't support Sony but they didn't do this. Microsoft already hurt themselves and will fall behind this console to Sony.

 

@ nigelhere9901 Doesn't run as well as Uncharted? It's made by the same people with the same frame rate and everything. I think it runs just as well. What well known Game of the Year game does PC have?

Anyway, as a user of 360, I'm open-minded about having an X1 again. Although I was excited about using a PS4, I don' like their controller. As for exclusives, I'm not really an exclusives man. Most of the time they never really appeal to me. Depends on where I'm at when the console comes out. Do I want a media centre? Not really, I have my Mac and all my other gadgets.

 

Still on the fence.

How do you compare a accident to someone taking your rights away legally? Too different things.

 

@ Happyness He's just a Xbox Fanboy. You really can't compare a 360 to PS4. Even if you do the PS4 is better in every way so it wouldn't be fair. You compare the 360 and PS3 together since that's the same generation.

it can't help but spy on you, and the the gov't forcing (or creating) websites to collect all your info (including already working with MS) why wouldn't they keep a record of what your kinect picks up?

I was never really a fan of Xbox. Old and present model gave me nothing but problems when all I wanted to do was play a damn game. But I mean, at the time of PS2 and Xbox, the Xbox had the performance but at the time of PS3, well, different story. I'll stick with the PS4 and PC. Plus who is to say that MS won't just start working back into there original policy? Slowly but surely I feel that they'll get what they originally wanted in some way.

At the end of the day it's all about the money. I hate hearing people saying Sony did it for the gamer's, they didn't, they could care less about us gamer's. They chose to have no policies because they believed it made more business sense, not because it would offend gamer's. Microsoft believed in another business plan and people turned on them, rightfully so. So today, they decide to change policies and people still complain, everything they do is forever wrong apparently. Now, I consider myself to be a hardcore gamer while all my friends are casuals. I asked them what console they would be getting, being previous xbox 360 owners, they all said Xbox One. So if you currently own Xbox 360, you're  most likely to buy the X1, and if you own a PS3, you'll probably buy the PS4, all of course based on what console your friends intend to buy. And to those still bringing up points to argue against the purchase of an Xbox One, you're now just nitpicking and not really proving anything. "The kinect is watching us", so? What about that built in webcam on your laptop that's currently "watching" you now? You're okay with that, but not with kinect? A little contradictory don't you think? "But PS4 has more power", so? This current generation, PS3 had much more power then the Xbox 360, but yet, everything looked the same, and this will be the same next generation. Watch Dogs, The Division, etc, and all multi-platform games will look and play equally the same on each console. I literally see no difference between the PS4 and X1, either one is a perfectly fine gaming console, and no one should hate on others who enjoy the same hobby as us because at the end of the day were all gamers, and games will always come first despite the console choice.

In the first place, years ago, people were hacking computers when the vid cams fist came out. They got so good at it that they could hack into a computer...even if it was TURNED OFF and THE CAM WAS OFF!

 

They found a way of turning it back on allowing them to spy in peoples houses.

 

The exact same thing can happen with Kinnect! It is not Microsoft I would be worried about, but hackers that could turn on the stupid thing even when it is supposed to be off!

 

If they took out the kinnect from the console itself...it would be a lot better for everyone...those that still wanted it could purchase it sperately, but to say you HAVE to have kinnect when you purchase an xbox one.....is like saying even if you don't want something that could be used to spy on you...you have to have it if you are gong to purchase an xbox one or SPYBOX ONE as it could be used.

 

And I seriously DOUBT that the majority of people would be stupid enough to purchase a console from a company that tried so hard to force the restrictions on them they did not want!

 

Want proof? Look at the poll above. I think the damage has already been done to the xbox one console.

We all know microsoft doesn't care about the fans, it's albout the money. What happend to their: "oh it's just a vocal minority who doesn't like the XBOX ONE" defence- well as it turns out allot of those people from the "minority" didn't pre-order the XBOX ONE, and that scared Microsoft. Thanks for proving my point. I guess if HP, Sony etc took out their built in webcams from their laptops "it would be a lot better for everyone"? Today when buying a laptop, nobody stops to think "well maybe I shouldn't buy a laptop because what if the webcam gets hacked", they just go ahead and buy the damn computer. Anything can get hacked, this is why the whole "kinect is watching me" argument is irrelevant. Besides, lets say someone does hack in and watch you, what are they gonna find? Probably millions of gamers drinking Mountain Dew with Cheetos stains on their shirts, yelling into the mic calling each other fags. Everyone who brings this point up sounds like they have something to hide. I personally have no problem with it. Seriously, you'd buy a One for 'Saving Private Ryse'? The game looks clunky & a never ending series of QTE's, probably because it used to be a Kinect game. Why did they change it? Oh yeah, because Kinect is useless for playing games with.

 

If Microsoft were looking for a franchise to compete with God of War, then this isn't going to be it. GOW: Fast & fluid, Ryse: Slow & clunky. Graphics look pretty good though, but then won't the next GOW game?
