GunWrath
Today, we lost a great author and best-seller, Vince Flynn. He died this morning from Prostate Cancer at the age of 47. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/06/19...dly-dead-at-47/ Creator of Mitch Rapp, the CIA Operative, not sure how many of you have read his books but I've been following Flynn novels for afew years and I've always enjoyed his books, the espionage and thrills and just the non-stop emotion that keeps you following each word. Rest in Peace, Flynn Flynn's wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vince_Flynn Flynn's website: http://www.vinceflynn.com/ Some of Flynny's novels: American Assassin Kill Shot Transfer of Power Executive Power Memorial Day Edited June 19, 2013 by GunWrath
Wolf of Badenoch
So that's another great author gone within 10 days of another, along with Iain Banks. R.I.P Edited June 19, 2013 by Valenta
lol232
IMO, 47 is still pretty young to die. Poor guy, may he rest in peace.
Ziggy455
I'm going to buy a few of his books out of respect for the author; I never got around to reading any of his work but I'll make sure to now. Also, IAIN BANKS DIED!? I knew he was sick but nobody told me he'd died ten days ago. "I might have laughed if I'd have remembered how."

It barely was mentioned down here. I can't believe that. I knew he'd been diagnosed and was finishing The Quarry but nobody else reads in my family and the name Iain Banks is unknown. I can't believe that. May their rest be forever immortalized in the pages they wrote. "I might have laughed if I'd have remembered how."
GunWrath
Well, in the name of urban legends, I hope no more authors die this month. Nice choice, Ziggy. Not sure if you're into political thrillers and things of that nature but his books are quite great. Make sure you read them in order.. as Rapp (character) evolves throughout the series of his novels. I haven't read any of Flynn's work since Protect and Defend, which I believe he's released 4 other books since then, so I'm a bit behind. I hope they continue the story of Mitch Rapp in his honor though, if not. I'm glad I found his work!
