If you cannot then get good I had this one bullsh*t elective last semester at college and I skipped every Friday just to avoid it. I came to two classes in total and the exam. Got a 78% because the class was literally such bullsh*t and you could make it up as you went along if you had an inkling of what the class was about. For one of the assignments I had to write an essay on GTA SA and how it's racist. I remember laughing so hard as I wrote about the drive-thru scene followed by the drive-by. That was the class. I wrote about video games. I had never done anything like this before but the class was just such bull and waste of a Friday. We watched "Good Hair" in the class, for f*cks sake. Pretty sure the professor just made up the entire course from thin air. It was all common sense material. I would never ever skip a core class like this tho. Never. Never an elective if the content was actually worthwhile and not an easy A. P.S. I live two hours away from my college so I guess that's why I did that, I considered it a waste of a Friday to sit in a class full of swaggtards and watch documentaries like "Good Hair". I mean, it'll be near the end of the year, i'll probably have a million assessments. I might even pick up my copy tuesday, and not even play it till the weekend. Probably a better idea. I only work 2 days a week plus extras so I don't need to take holiday time much. My life's a holiday essentially. I'm lazy as f*ck The point is when you work you earn holiday/ sick leave. You have to use it at some point. Why not use it for something you love ? the last one I used was when I was legitimately sick so I would suggest keeping a few days up you're sleave just in case you get sick/ family emergencies but if you're like me and have like 62 hours of sick leave spare you should probably use them before the company gives you cash instead. It worked out for me being part time but if I was full time and got that deal i'd be unimpressed f*ck working you're whole life !!! take a day off and relax once every six months I say. Pay your wife some attention or some thing I dunno. Have fun basically but do it at the appropriate time. work hard but also have fun that what its all about. Sometimes it's for emergencies (car breaks down) or sometimes it's for you to do whatever. Maybe it's visiting a friend, going to the beach or having an off day to play video games or watch movies. You need time for yourself to enjoy the things you like. Life isn't all about work. Life is short. If taking a day off to stroll in the park or play video games makes you happy then go for it. Anyone saying otherwise isn't old enough to know better. Work will always be there when you come back. Vacation days are for a reason. I would rather have the day to myself to immerse in the game a bit then in the evening when I have my SO around. No distractions means a more rewarding experience. So yes I am taking a day.
