One entire week. That way I'll be HAPPY, no matter how SAD it may seem. Seize the day folks (if you can)! GTA V only releases once. Plenty of time to do other stuff in life. It's your life, not your company's. ive been off for five months for my bicep. i go back to work july 11th. i had my surgery feb 5th, a cast for 4 weeks, a brace for 3 weeks, and rehab ever since. as soon as that cast was off i went fishing damn near every day. i go to the gym and work out what i can. i go on runs through the woods and the hills at the local park. i go see my 90 year old grandmother way more than when i was working. i used to get so stressed out about the bull sh*t soap opera style drama that takes place where i work. i have realized while i have been off that there is much more to life than work and the stress that goes with it. i wont be able to take off for gta v because im out of days, but i wont fret it. ill go get it after work and play it when i get home. if i had a few days id take one for the game, but i dont so ill play it when i can. Every job I have ever had people depended on me for certain things, that means if I'm no there someone else has to pick up my slack, I dont think i could live with myself if I knew I put someone else in that position so I could go play a video game. I think it's really about what game it is (meaning also what kind of art) and what kind of emotions and feelings you have about the game. GTA is a well-known series that has been going strong for years so for all of us that started with GTA I and then continued on with it, we have a special place of nostalgia within our minds and I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone about the power of nostalgia. Full-scale GTA games also aren't released on a yearly basis. One or two days off every four or five years? that's not much. I'd also like to say GTA is not just some videogame - you could call it art if you would be so inclined. And, again, there are no rules in dying so you best live the way you want to live before it's too late. A person might get run over by a car on his way to work or school that day and die. Might not. That's so uptight and overly dramatic. Every school and business on the planet knows damn well that everyone plays hooky once in a while. They expect it. They'd think you were weird if you never missed a day. If someone was to do it often, every time they buy a game, that might be ridiculous. But every once in a blue moon for something special you've been waiting for for years, there's nothing wrong with it. Especially when they have vacation time earned anyway.
