I just tried it on ps2 and was warped to leaf links but when I got there I heard this loud rumbling .. It seemed to get lower as I got farther away but got louder again as I got closer to where I spawned ... Is this rumbling permament ? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

radioman Posted June 19, 2013 Share Posted June 19, 2013 The ONLY thing that can affect your ability to get 100% is IF you buy too many empires on the East Island before it is open legit via the storyline, as that would give the sharks and bikers less to own, which would lessen or eliminate the chances of unlocking the Drugs and Robbery Empires, which are needed for 100%...you can buy 3-4 on that side early-I have confirmed that on PS2(PS3 should be the same, as it is a direct port of the PS2 version?)...but, I use that trick to get the Balloons after the first mission and again after the third mission to get the better free weapons-ie. VCS on PS2 is different because it has more side-missions than PSP. I'm not modder but I think the additional script could add new glitches. Another way I know how to get in Vice City Beach is by parking a Yankee at the Starfish Island gates and jumping over them. Simply because there are Drugs, Smuggling and Robberies empires already owned by the two gangs from the beginning... Add to that the fact that there are also such business on the Mainland - so the chance of stalling your advance decreases... Just you have to be sure not to take over any of the business until you complete 'From Zero To Hero'. On topic, I personally could never successfully utilise the Pipe Warp glitch successfully - I don't know what I was doing wrong, but the only was I could use to access Vice Beach for sure was the 'Bridge Jump' method. P.S. The rumbling is natural. It is there. This is due to the aircraft from Escobar International being trapped there, under the ground, before 'From Zero To Hero'. After that mission the rumbling will disappear. Instead, you'll be hearing it from the moving planes in Escobar International. As for some reason that trick will not work on the PSP version, however, it works great on the PS2 and PS3 versions...It is quite easy, just keep jumping at the back of the pipe and you will eventually see the "Welcome to Vice City" sign at which point you will be in Leaf Links Golf coarse...Keep in mind that every now and then, it messes up and spawns you at another location on the West island, but go back and try again and it will work... About the gang empires-yes, there may be Drugs empires shown on West Island before the mission "Zero to Hero"(which opens the East Island legit)-I have seen that on the PS2 version, and when I took over that one, it still gave me the same 3 options, instead of unlocking the Drugs Empire choice...Also, there is one empire site on the East Island that cannot be taken over until a storyline mission for the Mendez brothers, so until that point, the maximum you can get is 29/30....I mentioned that, as I have read about that glitch happening back in 2007 in a Pinned topic on here, but when they changed the LCS and VCS sections, they deleted A LOT of Pinned topics for some reason?-like the Hidden Package topic for VCS is no longer on here, for example... Thanks guys ... I have a ps2 also and didn't even know about this glitch till I saw it on youtube .. if you look there you can see how they did it .. its very easy probably works every 3-5 tries just have to land in the right spot .
