rubix99
When we kill other people in the game, does the money become physically visible on the floor like GTAIV and the GTAIII games......or will it be like Red Dead Redemption where you push a button to loot the body for money and was often accompanied by a funny remark like "Just a little something for my trouble"? tranceking26
Quite a good point, how will they do it. I think it's likely to be the GTA method. The looting method in RDR and Tomb Raider 2013 worked well though
Grand Theft Savage
Press a button to loot. I prefer that. You can't shoot someone and all of their life savings just fly out of their pockets.

Lock n' Stock
Having you to actually loot the body would be more realistic obviously, but I think I'd prefer the traditional way, walking over glowing money.
gtamann123
Looting like in RDR. More realistic and makes you more involved in the game because you have to put yourself at risk to get that extra cash. You have to weigh the risk vs rewards.

Kiffster
i hope like other gta's cause im lazy This I'm gonna kill too many people and looting every single body would not be cool lol, like Bioshock (I haven't played the pc version of RDR................. Because there isn't one )
Patriot_Action
Don't know. The RDR method makes sense and works for reasons people stated. But I'm imagining higher body counts overall in GTA V (per mission or over time free roaming) so I don't know if I want to stop and loot 30 bodies. By the way, slightly misleading title (would've said "loot" instead of "steal"). Edited June 14, 2013 by Patriot_Action
Mário César Baldessar Moro
I like the RDR style, is more realistic than the money going out of the pocket and the player don't crouch to pick up it, just absorbing the money. I think is time to crouch to pick up all items in the game. I like the simplistic style of the past GTAs, but now times have changed and realism is required. And the loot in RDR is very funny to me, so increasing the realism do not means decrease the fun.
Old World
Pretty certain a news source confirmed it was RDR-styled, pressing a button to loot. I much prefer it this way. What if I want to play a killer, who simply enjoys taking other people's lives instead of stealing their money, too? As for the "killing 30 enemies in a mission" excuse, I doubt each individual Italian Mobster is going to carry anything substantial on them, aside from weaponry. On the other hand, what if I wanted to rob people without killing them? I hope we can do this.
leeoggy
RDR style all the way, makes you that bit more immersed in the game, like somebody said above risk vs reward...
IronZombie
Looting got tedious in RDR during big shootouts or missions when I would kill a ton of people. It's the same issue I have with the AC games. I get lazy after a while but my OCD tendencies want me to keep looting for more swag.
walkingsickness
Forcefully take the money and shoot in the face one more time for good measure
waikzguy8998
Looting might be a cool method so long as there are occasional perks to the looting as opposed to just finding certain amounts of cash. For example, an older woman in Vinewood "meets her demise", you loot her corpse and find a diamond ring worth $15,000 and so long as you sell it (hopefully there's pawn shops similar to traders posts in RDR), then you score big
zmouse
They could do both, have money lying around like it has been but for ammo and other stuff(if there is other stuff) you would have to loot.
StateofMind15
If we have to loot, hopefully it doesn't change to that stupid ass camera angle like RDR.
Matt06
Looting. And while we're at it, we should get their drugs too. You know a lot of people are gonna be holding.

Dlee13
it has been confirmed that you can no longer run over ammo to collect and it must be picked up, so I'm sure it will be the same for money!
Fuzzknuckles
put yourself at risk to get that extra cash. You have to weigh the risk vs rewards. This. Early on, I'll be looting every single body, but towards the end, when I've got some reserve cash built up, I probably won't be bothering as much. Signatures are dumb anyway. There's no way you'll kill more people in a single streak in GTA than in RDR. Yes, there are lots of peds in GTA, yet you have trouble getting them to fight you or not fleeing away at the first shot. In RDR all enemies actually fight you and chase you (except from women and so) so most probably you'll end surrounded by yet-to-loot corpses.
