What about water not being rendered? Or it's just my crappy 7770 that forgot how to graphics?

Thumbs up for alpha fix, though! Gonna test it more and let you know the bugs I stumble upon.

@Methical yep btw fps limit moved to 60

How far can we go with SA::RENDER?

is it possible to have a built in bullet hole feature? with bullet holes for various materials like skin or flesh for ped gun shot wounds, or some way to add these effects? I know a bullet hole mod already exist but is not compatible with sa::render.

 

Similar to bullet holes, scratches and other paint job damage to any part of the vehicle would be an neat feature.

If all this is possible would be good if this is implemented somewhere in a future release.

Ok, results are next:

 

  • Alpha works on material's transparency (I dunno if I named this correctly). Cars that have textures as alpha channels, are not transparrent at all.
  • On my PC I still can't get reflections, nor water shader. (955BE 3.7Ghz, 7770 1GB, 4GB DDR3)
  • Car lights textures now work properly. They illuminate 'n' sh*t.
  • FPS is good, I actually find it run better than the last version.
  • Weapons still invisible. U guys gotta check that one out.

My test of sa::render

 

-No water (invisible)

-No lens flare

-Shadow are really cool

-crash with SA_MP

-trees look really ugly

-shader effect on cars are nice

-stable fps

 

Good work, I love this mod :inlove:

PS: please do the lens flare effect in this version

Mostly buggy on my end, shown here:


The shadows and such are pretty glitchy, no matter the settings I have the game on, it looks the same (but just less/higher FPS).

I think some DX9 dlls are missing in my system, maybe VC Runtimes, aswel. Petka, could you list those you use? I still can't get shadows and reflection to work, even on fresh install.

I run it on:

  • Win 7 x86
  • 1.0 hoodlum
  • 7770 1GB 1GHz
  • 4GB DDR3 1333

Using: Silent's ASI Loader, 2dfx lights, imfx sun effect and 1792 Streaming Memory fix.

Can't do screens now, I'm on another PC. But, shadows don't appear neither on low, nor on high settings.

My test on the hotfix.
I experience a bit of lag at times, frequent fluctuation in fps. as for the bugs, the video speaks for it self.

Testing new version...well...

 

...Dithering pattern everywhere ! ! ! :blink:

 

For each and every texture transition (from LOD to Normal ) happens a black dithering pattern !

 

Glasses on cars are "less" black...but still dark.

 

Shadows nightmare still persists (along with all previously mentioned bugs).

 

For me, at least, this new version is a little bit worse !

 

 

...and please people...disable "Monetize" option of your videos ! We are in a "development" atmosphere here...it's not time to be opportunist.

@topic: any known incompatibilities with 2dfx? Only mod I can imagine why it crashes on my mod GTA.

Please do not double post, it is against the rules.

 

Also it is wrong to try to get money (as small as it may be) off other people's hard work. I know you might really need or want it, but that's not the right way to do it, friend. Think about it.

Backing to SA-Render : Anyone else has pics or videos to comparer SA-Render differences ???

 

I know it's a prototype yet, but I'm a little scared of low performance on my machine, considering I'm testing it on a pretty vanilla game ( No HQ stuffs ).

Also currently I work on flexible Post Processing managment so for example you can add your PostProcess techniques and render them into textures and use in next techniques.
