HD5770 here. Game takes AGES to load (I also said this about your previous release as well, R95 worked fine in terms of loading times)

. Once the loading screen has disappeared it takes 2 mins for that text to appear, which stays on the screen for a minute before the cutscene starts. After skipping cutscene, screen is again black for at least another minute before CJ appars in the alley.

This is what it looks like when I start the game. Can you see those coronas on the fence .. ?

 

This is what happens when I change from 1080p to 1680*1050. When I change it back, it goes back to full screen, but has some weird bugs with rendering.

Game runs @ 15FPS for me when CJ is first in the alley .. About another minute later its at a stable 40+FPS

(vanilla game, 'cept for Widescreen Fix, set @ 1080p.)

Shadows .. In a vehicle they only draw like 10m infront, but on foot, its like 50m.

And F12 is for the in-game editor isn't it? .. Crashes my game.

 

Also, my shadows aren't blurry.. they are pixelated ..

@Mega Looks the same on my 750 Ti, not sure if there are mods conflicting, but I don't think so...

The SMG look like a big triangle, completely bugged too...

Tried this. I see nothing but the hud and sky.

 

I'm on an Nvidia card by the way.

 

Edit: Never mind, forgot that certain graphics settings don't work.

2 months of waiting and this is the result.

Yes, I'm aware that the new revision "doesn't work" on NVIDIA GPU, but this guy somehow made the mod worked smoothly on NVIDIA GT360, the same GPU as mine.

Guess I have to wait for the next revision then.

Well....no luck on Win 8.1 x64 + AMD 7950

 

Some stranger messages on start-up...several compilation errors of shaders.

 

Tested on a vanilla game, no modification, only Cleo and WideScreenLite.

 

It's OK...take your time people...It's just a beggining.

 

I wish I could help more.

EDIT.: I got it ! :lol: ...after updating DirectX 9 - ( it seems like D3DX9_43.dll does the job ! ) - No compilation errors.

 

But after first cutscene...only sky over and under...and some few objects.

I forgot to say I was using silent patch for skipping nVidia logo....and THAT WAS my problem !

 

Just removing it....the whole thing worked ! :lol: ( EDIT 2b : not necessary to remove Silent Patch, just disable NVCshaders and TwoPassRendering )

Shadow artifacts everywhere !

 

Tree leaves vanished...probably due to layered alpha.

 

...but ilumination system is beautiful...much more realistic !

Mm, so guess it's another mod I need to add compatibility to. Anyone can confirm you need to disable BOTH NVC shader and twopass?

 

@Petka - can I assume the mod will always be named Render.asi? Unless it's renamed already, haven't checked.

Well as far as #FirstDayAfterARelease past I assume here is the list of bugs and erros(i didn't wrote all list because other errors) you guys found:

1) Z-Buffering problems on some NVIDIA and AMD GPUs.

Q: What can I do if some objects seen trough or don't render?
A: Firstly check if you have fully or almost fully cleaned GTA SA that contain only ASI Loader(Silent Loader works fine). If you have the same issues check if you enabled antialiasing, if yes - disable it! Still have same result? Report here or there - https://code.google.com/p/sa-render/issues/list .
2) Game crashes at start.
Q: What can I do with that?
A: Check if you have all drivers up to date. Yes but still crashes? Get error? Do printscreen(or even crashdump) and send here or there - https://code.google.com/p/sa-render/issues/list .

What info I need about your pc?
* OS version

* Game version

* Videocard

* RAM

And as I said before I need testers who can spend they time to compile and test game to check for future bugs to be fixed.

how do i install this, because i placed asi loader in my root sa folder and also this mod and yet it doesn't work, i go ingame and it's all the same.

Well yes, shader code replaces DN pipeline instance function to the other, luckily unused func and injects a vertex shader responsible for handling this. Twopass is just a custom renderer callback for some atomic modelinfos, which calls default renderer callback twice, changing some rw renderstates. Might be useless since you don't do forward rendering at all.

 

EDIT:

Is rendering weapons inside CPed::Render a problem? That's how I do it.

Performance is quite good. I expected worse.

I found out the solution to my problem.

I just got HOODLUM v1 US exe and it now boots up the game. I thought I had this one but apparently not :catspider:

 

Well I finally got it to work :D

However, everything looks pink and game crashes every single time as I leave the safehouse and after two seconds being outside.

The only mods I have are very few vehicle mods, improved timecyc by format c: and UltraThing (it is like ENB) but I already tried to disable UT and it is still pinkish.

However, game still refuses to boot up on dual monitors ;) it is no problem though, I can always disable second monitor easily by windows key + P.

 

Other information:

 

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

nVidia GT 330

8GB RAM

this mod work on computers with 2.gb ram and 1.60 ghz with pixel shader 2.0 intel pentium dual cpu 32bits ?

Probably my biggest issue with the modding community right now.. so lazy and refuse to test things.

 

"Will it work on this PC with (insert specs here)" - Most annoying thing ever. It takes you 25-30 seconds to download and test it, if it doesn't work, quick undo with ctrl+z and you're fine. You'll get your answer quicker than you would spamming up the thread asking questions that honestly never get answered.

 

EDIT: Oh, and this isn't anything personal with anyone. This is an issue that almost everyone on this forum seems to have, fairly annoying.

Seems like modded d3d9.dll (UltraThing) was the problem.

UltraThing has some nice features. Would be cool if those two mods could coexist, if it's not too much of a hassle.

Just reporting the results of some more tests :


(conditions : Vanilla files (no mod) + starting new game + Cheat for NO Wanted Level + AMD octocore CPU + AMD 7950 + Win 8.1 x64)



1 - Still some issues using Silent Patch. (sorry Silent ! )


If I keep the Patch ON, game crashes after some few minutes driving. If I turn it OFF, I can mess around for looong (15 minutes tested). It's not a question of disabling NVCshaders....I need to remove it.


...and yes, I'm using 1.0 EXE.



2 - Shadows are a Nightmare !


Building shadows have a "triangle" pattern...and Flick and Blink as Hell.... Ped shadows are good !



3 - Low performance !


Even for a Vanilla game (no mods, no textures pack, nothing ) running on my system.



4 - No environment lighting during Night Time !


Some few light poles have coronas...but there is no light casting at night ! (tested on San Fierro -> almost tottaly dark at night)



5 - LODs are not being properly rendered.


Getting some big holes on the ground at some distance from the player. When I get closer, they are fixed.



6 - Alpha not being rendered properly.


Glasses are dark. (mostly noticeable on cars)



7 - No Water


Yeah...physically there is water. Just not being rendered. Someplaces there are seabeds...othe places none.
