somehow I doubt that any of Outcast's real life associates are going to stumble into him on GTAF.

wouldn't that be something to watch.

Well I haven't named names. Of course if they were to stumble upon the stories I've told, they'll know who they are. Might be a bit embarrassing for me as I've been a bit of a braggart on here with cars than I do in real life. I don't tend to show off too much on fb and whatnot. I do like to upload pictures onto instagram though. :p

And like to like them!

Anyone else on here got 'interesting' instagram accounts they'd care to advertise?

So....I've got a new 65" & 46" Sony Bravia W90. It's some sort of internet connected 3D, 4K TV (no idea what i'm talking about when it comes to TVs) and I saw that I can stream crap from an NFC enabled Xperia phone by tapping it to the remote and I thought that sounds pretty cool so now I'm thinking about picking up an Xperia Z2 when it comes out so I can take advantage of that function. I've used Android phones before (the last one was the HTC One and Nexus 4) but after a couple months of use I can feel the phone starting to lag a little bit and it's always caused me to go back to the iPhone. I currently have an iPhone 5 as my personal phone and a 5S as my work phone and the Xperia Z2 (if I get it) would be a replacement for my personal phone. Also thinking about picking up a Vita and a PS4 to go with the TVs.

Anyone have experience with the Sony ecosystem and how it all works together? I'm pretty excited by how futuristic everything is but I don't want to plunk down all that cash on peripherals and be disappointed.

I have no experience with Xperia myself, but my friends highly recommend them. I have always liked Sony and SonyEricsson phones, they always seem to make the product the market should want but their products never really catch on (presumably because of the lack of marketing).

I used to like the Galaxy, but every day it just becomes more and more of a direct copy of the iPhone. I mean, the whole idea of going Android is that you don't want to do things the gimmicky Apple way.

In that sense I have heard good reviews of the Xperia, apparently it doesn't have the bloat-ware Samsung puts on their phones (which should help on the speed front), but is a solid Sony product with a high specification. I cannot comment on the Xperia vs. TV vs. PS4 integration, but I know Sony products tend to be quite versatile. For instance, I can run 3rd party streaming services like Serviio and watch them via my PS3 (unlike my useless XBOX), and Sony phones have always had proper Bluetooth which can't be said for the iPhone.

Also, I wouldn't touch HTC with a barge pole, there isn't a single person I know whose HTC hasn't turned out to have a fatal fault within 6 months (whether overheating, sudden dying, software issues). My family has had two HTCs and both of them, while they were working, were hands down the worst phones I have ever used, I would honestly rather use a Nokia 3310 because at least that can make phone calls.

Have an Xperia M, very happy with it. Nothing lags noticeably, its quick, its nice to use and is not overdone. Design of the phone itself is also just corgeous. Does everything i want it to do and more.

I got super psyched after hearing such good things from you guys, but then I did some reading online and it looks like the Xperia Z2 will be delayed until April which brought me back down so I went and got myself a PS4 today and got NFS: Rivals, Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, and Battlefield 4 for it. Having not played consoles for more than half a year it's pretty cool to get back into it. So sh*t I've got to go on a business trip tomorrow because I really want to stay home and play games!

I'm not really a watch guy (only reason I wear one is because I got it for free through work) but one has caught my eye. The Omega Seamaster De Ville that Don Draper wears in Mad Men. Damn slick watch, discreet and elegant.

Looks just like my 50 euro Casio watch, only mine has a metal strap. xd

I don't think I could ever justify spending more than $500 on a quartz movement.

Agreed about the Seamaster strap, it really spoils an otherwise good-looking watch.

I am a fan of metal straps, they are more durable and look better in my opinion. The weight can be an issue for some people, but you can always go titanium.

Here´s something different for You guys.

"Komandirskije". Made in Sojuz Sovjetskih Sotsialistitsheskih respublik. That´s Soviet Union for You.

It is ugly, it is cheap and it is durable. It has to be quite old too because I got it from grandfather like 30 years ago :D

I also have a pocket watch, but it´s not gonna swing here.

I dont know anything about the show, i have never seen it, but i love the vintage Omega watches. They are sold by the bucketload in Asia and every time I am there I look for a good quality one but they are hard to find. That particuar one is awesome, I would buy one the instant I found a good one. Its classic, stylish and timeless.

Yeah thats the way to go, metal straps look great and fit most styles. My exception I guess is that I have a Seiko Submariner that I wear with a rubber strap, and the only reason for this is it is my dive watch. Chunky bevel for underwater use and quick drying. The only time I ever wear it is in the water, easy to use with gloves on and it is quite durable.

Honestly, I dont think thats ugly. Its a cool looking watch. I love the russian text on it and the red second hand with the big numbers, its pretty nice. I would put it in my collection quite proudly.

That's actually a pretty cool watch--I like its clinical appearance. I've been wearing a G-shock for the past few years. Light, durable (like yours) and reliable.

Pretty cool that your grandfather gave it to you; it's a shame that such traditions are rare these days.

Great avatar by the way.

Hmm, all watches look the same to me. I can never tell if it is expensive or not.

I forgot my watch brand, but it cost me $90 on sale and looks expensive. Well to me anyway. So that keeps me happy.

A very simple, but by no means definitive, way to gauge whether a watch is expensive or not is to observe the seconds hand. If the movement is erratic rather than sweeping then it's a quartz watch which are battery powered and tend to be low cost. Watches where the seconds hand sweeps across the face are mechanical and tend to be more expensive due to the craftsmanship involved. Personally I won't wear a quartz movement as a watch is something to take pride in. Men don't have the luxury of having accessories like women which symbolise or signify wealth, we may wear cheap clothes but a mans belt and watch must be of the finest quality.

Not all Quartz watches are cheap however. There are some very high quality quartz movements which are generally categorised by an atypical tick. Cheap quartz watches tend to all sound the same whereas more expensive actions usually sound "precise". That's all I can describe it as.

My everyday watch (Tag Heuer Formula 1) is a quartz movement. I own a couple of automatics and associated winders but generally wear my Tag these days. I might get another Omega though as the one I chanced with buying broken I've never really gelled with.

Of course, like I said it's just a very general method of gauging the value of a watch. For example, Patek Philippe make quartz watches and those are by no means cheap, but they are still held to their very high standards. I just personally can't stand the sight of the seconds hand jerking about the clock face as it looks so inelegant.

Lol. My belt I wear these days is one a got for free from work. It's just a plain black one with an extremely simple buckle.

One before that was nothing special. $30 from a surf shop.

I don't worry about nice belts because my shirt is always covering the belt.

I'm not poor or anything, I earn well above an average income, but I just don't care much about belts and watches.

I spend a hell of a lot more money on my clothes and sunglasses. I always buy decent clothes and my sunglasses must be polarized and a decent brand.

Anyone can go into a fancy department store and get himself some expensive outfits, but the way to separate the wheat from the chaff are to look at the belt, shoes, and watch. The well put together man knows to match the belt to the shoes, and of course your shoes says a lot about you as a person. The term well-heeled doesn't come from no where, you know.

Maybe it's because I'm not wealthy, but I have no clue if a belt, shoes, or watch are expensive. I just really don't care about those things. Not a fan of watches, I just don't like having anything on my wrist. I used to wear a watch to work, but got annoyed by it all the time so I stopped wearing it. And as long as my shoes (usually black athletic shoes, occasionally black dress shoes) are comfortable and belt is durable, I'm happy.

Agreed. I usually avoid this topic like the plague just because I really no interest/care about those sort of things.

Different folks, different strokes. We all do have a common interest though, cars.

Anyway, I managed to pick up an Xperia Z2 yesterday at the Sony Store. So far I'm pretty pleased with it but I'm still getting reacquainted with Android.
