Outcast
This year has been crazy hectic for me. Started two new companies and been working my ass off getting them off the ground. Didn't even have time to buy any watches let alone think about them, but now that everything is set up and running smoothly my watch cravings have come back with a vengeance! Picked up this Bell & Ross Red Radar just cuz I like planes and this makes me feel like a kid again. I'm aware that the Sellita SW300 can be found in much lower priced watches but when B&R says they've modified this movement, that's an understatement haha. I also ordered the blue dial Omega Seamaster 300 Heritage (love that sandwich dial), I should get it by the end of the week. Also contemplating getting a Speedmaster X-33 Skywalker as I've been wanting a Breitling Aerospace Evo but the X-33 just seems to be that much more unorthodox and interesting. sivispacem
Very tempted to add a Doxa Sub 300 carbon to my collection, in Aquamarine. mr quick 1 AMD Ryzen 5900X (4.65GHz All-Core PBO2) | Gigabye X570S Pro | 32GB G-Skill Trident Z RGB 3600MHz CL16 EK-Quantum Reflection D5 | XSPC D5 PWM | TechN/Heatkiller Blocks | HardwareLabs GTS & GTX 360 Radiators Corsair AX750 | Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic XL | EVGA GeForce RTX2080 XC @2055MHz | Sabrant Rocket Plus 1TB Sabrant Rocket 2TB | Samsung 970 Evo 1TB | 2x ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q | Q Acoustics 2010i | Sabaj A4
mr quick
^ lovely and quirky. I'm really curious about its construction, chiefly whether the internal titanium case includes the crown tube - if so, that's probably great for longevity. If the crown tube is carbon too, I'm a little skeptical. I'm aware of the strength of carbon, but isn't it -too- hard for something small and intricate, like the fine thread of a crown tube, making it brittle? I want to know more! It's interesting to see more watch brands go the route of untraditional case materials. The MoonSwatch and the Maurice Lacroix Tide collection come to mind. It's not for me personally, as I have an almost phobic disinterest in having plastic/resin materials for high-wear things. I have the same issue right now as I'm trying to decide on a road bike - the high-end shop in town keeps telling me to go carbon fibre and have numbers to back it up and to debunk my concerns, yet on a completely unfounded basis, I just don't want it. I am considering titanium, but might just get a really nice aluminium frame instead. It's a shame Merida don't make the Reacto 400 frame anymore. I know I'm being a little irrational, but... I'll be relocating to the UK sometime in the next half a year for work. Where does one look for a pre-owned Grand Seiko in the UK? I'd love a 9F quartz watch with a screw-down crown. I say pre-owned because none of the current 9F models appeal to me. SBGV245's always been high on my list, as well as the Milgauss-esque anti-magnetic models - I think they called them "tough quartz"? - any other watchmakers make that kind of movement and watch? In the meantime, I'm quite happy with this retro Certina I bought a couple of weeks ago. It's gone between 3-4 seconds faster per 24 hours, which is great. I have worn it while road biking (and had a nasty fall), lake swimming, canoeing, and more, as well as with business casual attire on a work trip. I think it's an answer to my prayers - retro, stylish, 200m water resist and screw-down crown. I know I'm not skin diving, but I beat the hell out of my watches and like the peace of mind. Here on a Barton Tropic-style strap. It came with the same nice mesh bracelet as the PH200M. Edited July 15 by mr quick Stahli and Zyo

Zyo
Grabbed this off the internetz on Saturday. £67!! Pretty decent. Nice solid watch, Seiko internals. Just fancied a fairly cheap thing for wearing to work or down the pub as an alternative to the Seiko Sport 5s I usually wear. https://imgbb.com/TgbjXM0 https://ibb.co/TgbjXM0 Edited July 25 by Zyo Linky piccy....... Stahli
Since it is mainly watches that are shown in this man cave, I don't want to withhold mine from you. It's not a Rolex or Breitling but I thought these were beautiful about 10 years ago and I still wear them today. Don't take it off for nothing, shower, diving, boat/car washing, wrenching, whatever. Mesmerized by the looks for years. Invicta has been making some really good Rolex submarine and gmt masters look alikes. Seems they are durable as well. I really don't have any cravings for other watches except for a 24k day date jubilee or a 60's Pepsi gmt master jubilee. Stahli
