I'd be fine with anything as long as it's well built and interesting

Have you heard of Autodromo? They're quite a new brand but their products are all based on motorsports and cars (hence the name).

The Autodromo Stradale is just slightly above your budget at $875 but it is automatic, well built, and interesting.

For $600 it's going to be really really hard to get something like a Rolex, Breitling, Omega, etc no matter the age or condition.

An Omega Geneve seems to be around my price point. Seen some decent ones.

The Autodromo Stradale looks fabulous, definitely on my watch list now.

Just ordered this today:

Tag Heuer Aquaracer Calibre S

Cost me €950, a bit over budget, but I absolutely fell in love with its design. Should be here in 2 weeks as it's coming all the way from Hong Kong.

It is used, not new!

Nice. I'm angling for a Calibre 5 as a birthday present from the wife, one of the 2016-17 43mm models

So it's A Big Birthday for me in 2018, and my wife has offered to buy me a new, everyday watch (I think she's secretly trying to discourage me from buying and selling second hand watches like I was doing a couple of years ago).

My initial though was pretty straightforward and obvious (Seamaster Planet Ocean or Aqua Terra 15000) but to be honest I fancy something a bit different. I recently discovered that Tag Heuer have started doing Titanium versions of the Aquaracer series, mostly Titanium Carbide coated.

Then I spotted this Limited Edition:

2016-TAG-Heuer-Aquaracer-Titanium-Sand-1

Not sure why but really like the look of the black titanium/sand detailing. Pretty sure my wife will hate it though, so I'm pretty sure it's going to be the black on yellow model.

I agree with your wife. You're no spec op desert warrior :p black on yellow looks a helluva lot more sophisticated. Though at the same time I can sort of see where you're coming from as I also pine for some strange colour/material combos when it comes to things. But because it's gonna be your daily I think it best to stick to something a bit more versatile.

I'd like to acquire a new Cartier Tank as I think they are a very timeless creation. Unfortunately, at this moment in time, my bank account does not wish to agree with my desires, so in the meantime, I am thinking of a small upgrade from my beloved Hugo Boss.

Lightly browsing, I found this Gucci G-Frame Collection (I'll provide the link below). Now I wouldn't be one to dive into a brand just for the image; however, I think this watch would fit my life accordingly between work and play.

What would be your suggestions, do you like this watch?

Never been a huge fan of the Gucci watches, but I suppose that's a personal aesthetic thing. If I was going that way I'd be looking vintage.

So in typical style, after coveting something for ages I buy something different on a whim.

2015 model Aquaracer Calibre 5 500m (with the helium release valve) in blue. Last MY before they moved onto the oversize bezels. Brand new, 2 years warranty. Haven't loved a watch this much since my Omega Seamaster.

New tape cassette player for the car:

Very powerful. Also bought a Sony Cassette MP3 adapter

Now I can play all the songs from my xperia without having to burn a CD or buy a bluetooth player.

My watch, a BvIgari Rettangolo

It is a 1998 model though it has citizen promaster original wristband since the original was leather and it wore off. And no you cant find the original wristband cheap.

One for the travel types.

Anyone happen to have been to Jerez (de la Frontera) before? Looking for somewhere decent to eat tonight after our sherry bodegas (Tio Pepe, Sandeman). It's Feast of the Ascention so lots of stuff seems to be closed.

Been to Jerez, while ago though. Nice town.

Watch find:

REC, made from recycled Porsche parts, frankly though it was a bit gimmicky when I first saw it, but theyre lovely pieces. And the tie-in with an old numbered 911. Porsche inspired styling, actual VIN printed of the vehicle the parts were sourced from. Very cool.

They're not even stupidly price (unlike the classic 911s from which they derive their components)

Yeah, thanks for bringing this to our attention @Zyo. I'm seriously contemplating picking up a 901-02 now as an everyday watch.

My friend had his Rolex Submariner taken at knifepoint close to Paddington Station, and since then I've been rather careful about the watches I wear when I'm back in London. I've taken to wearing my G-Shock GravityMaster when I'm out and about the city.

Yeah Im seriously considering getting one. Researching components, internals and whatnot. They are affordable though, I did think that they would be more expensive...

I really want the first one, love the design of the leather band, reminds me of the SC series leather seats.

Perfect for the Porsche aficionados out there.

Bought a cheap, albeit customised, 1988 Seiko Pepsi Diver automatic as a knock-around watch.

Think it needs a good service. Timekeeping isn't exactly outstanding, but I like it.

Seriously contemplating ordering a Tudor Black Bay GMT as a promotion present to myself. They're on about an 18 month waiting list but they're absolutely stunning.

O sh*t, there's watch talk here? I'd say get the GMT if they fixed the date switch issues that currently plague them. The new two tone chrono looks pretty hot too.

Do like the Seiko, would change out the strap. My daily Sport5 auto had the same one until i put a NATO band on it.

Someone please talk me out of dropping a couple of K on a second hand but newly serviced '06 Omega Seamaster Chrono Diver Titanium.

Has box and papers, the particular one I've been looking at is up at £2,750 but I reckon I could cut several hundred off that...

Given that none of you talked me out of the Chrono Diver Titanium, I've got one arriving on Friday. 2006 model, recently had replacement bezel and links plus full service from Omega. Immaculate save for a fine scratch on the crystal that should polish out without too much difficulty, and fantastic VFM.

Super excited.
