That's fine been as they are one of the best developers out there to me. One of the best; not the best. My feeling is that many of the people on this forum can't see that. There's just no need to jump to next gen so soon when you have a game of this calibre on the 360 or PS3. All the conferences and reveals looked great, but aside from Watch_Dogs (Which I will probably be playing on PC anyway) nothing really struck me as breathtaking. The final products will not be nearly as impressive. GTAV will annihilate almost all other games, next gen or not (Just bought san andreas again, and it still does). Nothing really that gets me hot and bothered in this moment in time and I for sure will not be buying a next gen console on day one based on the launch lineup. That should be the universal slogan of every games retailers. Seriously the amount of people who shun games because of graphics is unbelievable. Next Gen is only here because it was that time, they're not nesseccerily going to be much better looking than now. "Our fish now move out of your way LMAO". Just cash cows. Way before E3 i was already less hyped than before, BUT this will all change when a new (last) trailer comes out and when we finally get that goddamn gold announcement. Or what to think about when it's only a week or a few days left until its release? Hype level will be no doubt through the roof. Last week with the sh*tload of information and trailers of brand new next-gen games made me a bit fatigued of gamenews in general, it was so much to take in and so much to write about (for our site) that i just can't get hyped for something right now. Hell, even the brand new shots last week honestly didn't do much for me. It's all good though. Like i said.. Wait until its the day before release. I just hate one thing, and that's that the new consoles are NOT backwards compatible. I am definitely planning on getting an X1 in November, if i can afford one. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 remix is out 4 days before GTA V and I ask myself do I really need to buy it when GTA V is so close and GTA V will have most of my attention. I'll buy Kingdom Hearts anyway as Kingdom Hearts is one of my best games ever made and to finally get to play the Final mix and RE: Chain of Memories that both never came out in the uk gives me a boner just thinking about it but in truth no I don't need to buy it. The internet has ruined this phrase but I'll use it here. You only live once so I'll throw my money at the screen. Now to keep it somewhat on topic. With all these great games still coming out for current gen systems and many next gen games been on current gen systems I can and will hold off on buying a PS4 for at least a year or so after launch. The only games that get me hot and bothered don't have a release date yet and won't for sometime. Kingdom Hearts 3(been waiting 7 years for that to be announced) and Final Fantasy XV been the main ones. Once they have a release date window I'll look into getting a PS4 but been as that is ages away yet and GTA V is in a few months my hype, although not high now is with GTA V. This should not be a reason to keep your current gen console. You should never buy next gen game ports on current console, they will be terrible and only sour your gaming experiance with them. Many other reasons to keep it going, but not this. D yourself a favour and wait till you get next gen console before buying next gen games. Assassins Creed IV as a example will be fine on current gen systems I would think. The same can be said for Watch Dogs despite what others claim. Naturally I'll wait and see gameplay between the two versions and then decide if I can live with the differences but chances are I will be able to. Even more so when most next gen games don't even look next gen to me and won't do until a year or so after launch when devs get more used to the systems. If however the differences are dramatic then I might wait with the games. Suppose I could put the money I save towards a next gen system but if previous console cycles are anything go by that won't be the case.
