Trund
I'd also get the digital copy if these two problems wouldn't exist: 1) all of the digital copies on PSN are way more expensive than their physical counterparts and considering you get no manual, disc and case that price is by no means justified. 2) PSN is extremely slow here, it usually runs fast for a few seconds and then slows down to a few kilobytes per second, and unless they allow you to preload the game before release I see no hope for a quick download for me, and considering that there will be a few thousand people downloading the game I wouldn't be surprised if the whole network slows down extremely. If Sony would fix these two problems I would definitely go for the digital copy, but for me that's a no-go at the moment. Audiophile
Can somebody please tell me why some people are happy with day one dig.download?I mean what's the point? That you get the game on your HDD immediately and don't have to worry about picking up and storing a copy. That's what i call lazy Well my local EB is not having a midnight launch because it's in a mall that closes before midnight. As I said, sometimes it has nothing to do with being lazy but with what is most convenient or efficient for the individual. It's a matter of preference and I totally understand that most people want a disc case and a physical disc. That's why I am keeping my SE. I've never done this before for any other game but this is something special. Dat GTAV feels. GR0VEST4L1FE
No no no no no no. All they said was it was coming to Xbox 360. Really? I had like two people tell me it was confirmed as digital because Microsoft said that they will have games coming to their marketplace, including GTA V in September. Im 90% sure. All they said was these games are coming to the newly designed Xbox 360. OMG how you are dumb, those games can be played in whatever Xbox 360 version Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/560193-gta-v-confirmed-as-digital/page/4/#findComment-1063007726 Share on other sites

tom_p1980
GTA V will roughly be between 14-17 GB I believe on PS3. GTA IV was about 10 GB. GTA V for Xbox needs 2 discs which you can install all of it on the HDD if you want which means that GTA V can't be more than 17 GB since Xbox discs can only hold 7-8 GB approx. So won't be the worst DL ever for some of you fortunately. Wasnt it confirmed to be 15gb? LotusRIP
Why on earth would people download? Audiophile
Yes. Regular one with the Atomic Blimp and a pre-order theme of GTAV. Not sure if they will be changing things though because they did say that it's coming on Friday to PSN yet here it is now. Maybe they meant for the European PSN store it will come on Friday since I think the North American and European stores update at different days of the week? As an added bonus, Day 1 Digital pre-orders will also receive an exclusive PS3 theme along with 75% off on any Rockstar full game title on PSN* (to help tide you over these last few weeks before GTAV hits on September 17th). ZeeKid2k10
For those asking about digital pre-orders on Xbox LIVE, the Xbox 360 Games on Demand service does not offer the ability to pre-order games or make them available on launch day. That being said, we will be making GTAV available via Games on Demand as soon as it's technically feasible and permitted by Microsoft. PS3 fans in Europe will be able to pre-order digitally starting this Friday. Audiophile
Hell yeah, preordered!! Now the real wait begins. September 18th, 3am (for us East Coast gamers) That's a mistake I do believe. Sony dun goofed and put the wrong date at the check-out prompt. Everything says it's day one digital meaning it'll release on September 17th at midnight. Page itself even says September 17th and day one digital. Sent R* a ticket about it so we'll see what they say but I believe Sony f*cked up there. I still don't know where this rumor comes from. The disc used to be able to hold 6.8GB of data, it was then increased to 7.8GB by removing space allocated for protection and so on. The physical capacity of the disc is 7.95GB. Anyways, can someone confirm the price for the digital download to be 70 USD?
