Fraizer
Battlefront's social media (Twitter & FaceBook) are FILLED with people b*tching about no space battles, pre-era and no Single Player. I'm a bit disappointed too but I am still really excited and all of this b*tching by people may cause a release date delay. What I don't understand is Why are people bitching about no single player when there f*cking is single player, offline play and split screen. All the twats on Twitter and Facebook need to learn how to read. There actually isn't a Single Player, there is a mode called "Battlefront Missions" which is a two-player co-op mode similar to BF3's co-op mode. "... it also caters to people who don't want to play with others or be connected to the internet." Playing by yourself = Singleplayer. There may be no story mode that we know of but you most definitely can play the game by yourself.
tuff_luv_capo
Playing BF I & II against bots was pretty much all I did, if they force you to play online in order to play the full experience, I will be devastated. I don't care about spec ops or missions, I want what the original Xbox/PS2 game had: Full MP maps populated with bots. Period. And it's not an antisocial thing, it's not a competitive thing, I play a lot of online games- but BF was always a solid offline game that ran reliably offline. I was a Junk
Yeah haven't really been paying attention but there better be bots at least. Not a fan of online play. Off topic but who else found the battlefront bots actually quite intelligent at times? Edited April 20, 2015 by Junko Enoshima

tuff_luv_capo
Man they are really pussy-footing around the question of offline MP. Another interview today straight up asked if Instant Action was a possibility and they keep regurgitating the same answer "There will be an offline mode called missions." Sounds like their way of saying, "No, but this is the same/better." Sadly I know that adding replayability means less sales for the next game. Theodore93
The more I read, the more I think I hate DICE. It's probably neither fair nor rational but this is Star Wars we're talking about and I'm convinced they are going to f*ck this up. tuff_luv_capo
As someone who has dumped 200+ hours into BF, it is very hard for me to say this but there is a chance I won't buy this game. Everyone keeps saying that you shouldn't judge something that's not even out yet, but that's not the point. It could be the best playing, best looking, most fluid game of the century that washes your car and rubs your back at night but if it makes you do it all online, it's worthless. Tchuck
I have many fond memories of the old games, playing against a massive number of bots, leading them into charges and stuff. It was excellent. I hope this game brings some of that with it, but this whole talk of "missions" is worrying. I'll wait until it's out before making a judgement. No pre-purchase from me. It does look awesome, though. Creed Bratton
Sadly I know that adding replayability means less sales for the next game. No replayability means no sale of the first game though. If they want to make sure that people buy their stupid game maybe they should try not making it stupid.

There's plenty of stupid consumers out there. For every one of us bitching about a stupid game, they'll be a thousand morons waiting to just throw their money at it. Look at DLC. So many people complain about it, yet clearly somebody's buying it. Unfortunately, I think devs and publishers know exactly what they can get away with these days. E: I understand that The Order 1886 had zero replayability and didn't that still manage to sell reasonably well? Also: As Dennis outlined, we will not offer Instant Action as defined in Battlefront 2. We will offer Star Wars Battlefront Missions. We will provide more details in the coming months ahead. - Sledgehammer70 EA Community Manager That sounds like we won't be able to just pick a map and play with bots offline... I think. I wish they'd just clearly tell us what the deal is and stop being so f*cking obscure. Edited April 21, 2015 by Waldie

MyName'sJeff
So, what I feared what would happen is actually happening? The trailer looks solid, but if there isn't a true single player experience like the PS2 era games, then f*cking this piece of sh*t garbage of a game. Online only means Dice can royally suck my giant cock and choke on it. EA is a cancer, they really need to die out and I mean literally, they really are terrible human beings with a pathetic obsession for money regardless if they f*ck the customers over. tuff_luv_capo
iiConTr0v3rSYx
Speaking of Battlefront 2, I remember it also letting you be able to play as other races; Gungan, Ewoks and many more! You are talking about the marketing people. The devs at EA, like at most studios, are usually awesome and passionate people trying to do their best to get a great game out there. I should know, I worked there. This game may not be what a good deal of us wants, but that does not make it a piece of sh*t garbage of a game. There are designers out there trying to make it into an awesome experience, and then marketing comes in with "statistics" and "analytics" and has them change everything because marketing says so. That's the real cancer, not EA. Coin and tuareg
drifter.
I hear a lot of the original content is gonna be cut out. I was just wondering if you're on PC, will third party mods come out to replace the original content if it doesn't come out? Like if there are no space battles then, can't someone on pc just mod in space battles?
SimsDaniel916
Welp, instead of beating around the bush, a Social Media rep on Battlefront's FaceBook had this in response to someone asking about the offline bot mode that was in the original's. Our multiplayer modes require you to be online, but Missions let you play solo or with a friend via split-screen co-op. This along with the EA community manager's comment, we're definitely not getting offline bots as in the Instant Action Mode that was in the original Battlefront's. SaintJimmy
I think you're confusing bots with AI. It sounds like an offline campaign experience with a cooperative mode to me. FullMetal
Eventhough I get what they mean with authenticity, movie feel and 'not wanting' to do a Battlefield: Star Wars. And eventhough I f*cking hate the sh*t out of the COD franchise and whatnot... people need to check out and learn from the Star Wars mod for Call of Duty 4. Aiming down the sights of blasters/laser rifles WORK and feel great! Especially if you know how to make superb graphics in huge battlefields with awesome lighting effects and some kick ass weapon animations like Dice. But whatever, people dissing this game already eventhough they haven't shown ACTUAL gameplay. And also funny how people don't lose their sh*t when other "well known franchises/studios" release CINEMATIC footage on a game engine and they don't doubt the authenticity of said graphics being ingame graphics. Or not criticizing the fact that there are actually games out there using cinematic graphics that are in no representative for the ingame/gameplay graphics as promo material. tuareg, Fraizer and Tchuck

Ehhh, that's a big generalisation. I'm sure it's not just about people being biased against EA. And the cinematic trailer alone isn't really the issue. For example, The Crew had the most cinematic trailer ever when it was revealed, but they showed gameplay right away. I think for many people it's lack of gameplay wich is upsetting, and the fact that they HAVE gameplay, but they just decided to show it to a select few people. In this context, the difference would be between simulated multiplayer match simulation where 'bots' take the place of what would otherwise be players - and playing through the single player (with co-op capabilities) campaign of a game and facing predetermined sets of 'AI' in a set of missions. The latter appears to be all they're selling. Edited April 22, 2015 by SaintJimmy SimsDaniel916
