Palpatine and Leia are pretty great too, and I'm terrible with Luke and Vader.

Seconding Leia and Sheev. I don't have much confidence in my skill as other heroes, so I prefer to pick those two, since they are the "support class" in this game. Even if you don't go on a killing spree, you can still help the team out by spawning the guards, giving out pickups, providing support on chokepoints. It feels nice to be leading the charge, while the teammates rally around you. And Leia is actually pretty handy in combat anyway, while Palpatine... is just Palpatine. Nothing is more glorious than frying trapped Rebels in hallways on Sullust.

The new location is pretty fun. I like the new characters and guns. The only downside was them not adding Extraction mode for the new location. But that could have been because of the way the maps are designed. Outer Rims map is perfect for that mode, and I'm not even sure, but I think the design of Outer Rim was made mainly for Extaction and the other modes like it. So really I can't be dissapointed I guess. They probably made the right choice. But it still would have been fun trying to follow that cart on one of those skinny ramps in the new location, LOL.

 

Berlin doesn't have extraction but the new sabotage mode makes up for it. Berlin is an overall great map for all modes. I havent played heroes vs yet on that map.

The mysterious final expansion was also detailed. It'll be set on Rogue One's planet Scarif and feature Jyn Erso and Director Krennic (yessss) as playable heroes.

just bought the season pass, i thought f*ck it i want early access to chewie. Darthyenik mate i know you and me both were holding off on dlcs and just a word of warning man, since i installed them ive had bugs with jetpacks and lagging, phantom grenades etc etc even stretching into vanilla maps.

 

Its not on tbh but ive had so much fun on this game ill cut dice some slack, this games come in for a lot of flak, but f*ck me ive had so much enjoyment from it, that i really cant get too annoyed with it #bars

 

whats everyones play style by the way, mines like organised chaos i run with smoke, scan and jetpack ill throw smoke in an area run in with scan then jetpack over them or whatever while they are smoked out, i love taking points laying down smoke then scan and just pick em off through the smoke, jetpack to manuever away

 

i get the feeling theres quite a few clans about too im coming up against some very organised teams

this might be just us UK lot, but a character called jyn arso just sounds like jyn arsehole to me, glad theres another female hero though

I really like playing as Leia on Supremacy because her squad shield is very useful when capturing the control points and her Trooper Bane can pierce through shields, merging the 2 together is great.

 

I remember last month on Supremacy twice in one day, I got the Hero pickup token and play as Leia while losing and got the middle (Or 3rd, whatever you want to call it) control point to win at the last minute to get the win.

I find him very useful in Heroes vs Villains and Walker Assault, mostly because his Lucky Shot can help against the Walkers when the Y-Wings are doing their attacks and against fighting Villains and his Rapid Fire can help against them as well (Unless it's Darth Vader or Palpatine when they're blocking the shots).

 

Plus if someone is playing as Boba Fett, his Lucky Shot will stop his Jetpack from working if he's using it.

YEAH... scuse caps lock, but yeah i ran with bacta for a while i liked throwing it at teamates and thought it was a nice way of promoting team spirit and teamwork. I find smoke underated though it can confuse the enemy, on maps like endor on fire it can disrupt the imperials from covering that first point on sumpremacy from the ridge they spawn on, i drop it at me feet when people get the jump on me and vanish into it, its helpful to take points( i get so many kills and points defended combining it with scan pulse and its a short cooldown..also covers turrets etc and can provide cover for teamates and myself if we have to cross an open space

 

and im yet to really try dengar but i think id like him

I originally used the Scan Pulse instead of the Explosive Shot but I changed it to improve my chances to get a win in pain in the ass Hero Hunt (I eventually gave up and find some people to boost) but I haven't change it back since.

 

Since I use(d) the Scan Pulse, I can say Greedo is probably my favorite since his High Senses can help keep me one step ahead of losing health so I have less chances of getting attacked from behind, but I don't own the season pass yet but I loved using him when I got the chance and I was very good at him (But it can just be beginner's luck).

 

At first I said "God, Greedo sucks" because I usually see people getting killed as Greedo easily, but now when I tried him, I take back what I said.

 

I remember one time when the Outer Rim was free for a weekend, I defeated all 4 heroes (Luke, Han, Leia, and Nunb) by myself as Greedo.

 

But since I don't own the season pass I usually use Darth Vader, but I use Palpatine in Heroes vs Villains, I'm probably start playing as Boba Fett in Forest Moon of Endor.

 

As for the Rebels, pretty much what I said earlier, Han Solo in Walker Assault and Leia in Supremacy, and mix of both in Heroes vs Villains. I suck at Luke no matter what (Even in Skirmish on Normal).

Craziest thing happened.

 

This has become my go to game. I don't even play MP shooters. Last one I played regularly was the original Duke Nukem3D (on the TEN network because there wasn't really online gaming yet).

ive got mates addicted to it who dont even like star wars (weirdos) and who rarely play FPS. its an incrediby fun game and its a shame it gained a bad rep because it was rushed out and suffered as a result. sh*t ive only just bought the season pass, i had a great laugh on the vanilla maps since january.

id recommend boba on jakku too

 

with luke all i can advise is keep jumping, and only really use his force push and the other power i forget the name of, L1 and R1on ps4, then get to cover or block till they cooldown, standard r2 strike only in emergencies

I really don't play on Jakku that much because I suck at that map and it's easy to become a victim of sniping (Especially with the Pulse Cannon), but I think I'll give it a shot.

 

When I play as Luke I usually keep jumping as you said, it's the Saber Rush, but one of the reason I'm bad at him is because I usually used all 3 abilities only when there was 2+ guys nearby, I think I'm gonna spend the day for a few hours on playing as him on Skirmish and start with normal and take it from there.

 

And didn't they buff his abilities or nerfed the Bacta Bomb in the Bespin update? I remember it was strong enough to survive to be hit by him if you have that health boost it gives you.

i actually disliked jakku too but ive found some routes with great cover, but id def see where youre coming from. Hoth is even worse, hate that map...supremacy isnt too bad though

 

 

and yeah with luke id stay away from his power attack altogether unless facing another hero, it leaves you too open

Oh my god I never thought about that, the Pulse Cannon would be a lot worse if they didn't add that glow, and thank God Darth Vader and Luke and deflect the shot while Palpatine can block it, I do it every time I see that glow, useful if you see Nein Nunb.

The only flaw is I'm still f*cked if someone uses Smart Rocket, Disruptor Rifle, Pulse Cannon, or does the same exact thing I do.

 

I tried it many times, went 38-1 in a Turning Point match thanks to that (That 1 death was me, I restarted because I wanted to go with a different gun

I am dying to play as a Wookie, I wish Bothan Spy's would return as well.

 

Not a fan of Stormtroopers without a helmet, but one thing I would love to see in Death Star as Han Solo in a Stormtrooper outfit without a helmet, I think that would be awesome to see.

 

 

 

After Outer Rim was released and before Bespin was released I told myself "I hope they bring the Emperor's Royal Guard's onto Death Star and put the Shock Trooper's as regular soldiers", but they eventually did and I'm happy they did.

The game is fun and beautiful. There just is no replay valur, and their moves with the DLC locking a playmode to a DLC map just splits the population...not to mention their DLC is hardly worth the price.

 

I was really hoping to see this game live up the predecessors, but it failed and outside of graphics, it took a major step back. What is worse that this is the only option on console and that BF3 indie project will only be available on PC.

 

Just sucks to see the death of a great series occur literally upon the moment of its revival.

I want to know if Rodian AI's even appear in Skirmish. I just realized after playing it lately, I have seen all the other skins (Twi'lek, Sullustan, etc.) but not a Rodian, excluding the Weequay and Bespin Wing Guard.

 

Those Hero Pickup bugs on Skirmish is really driving me crazy, despite some flaws to it, I really enjoy it.

Sounds fun. It reminds me of MP3's Gang Wars, with multiple stages and shifting objectives, which was a really cool concept that I wish we'd see more of, in general. And then there is even assaulting Star Destroyers and boarding them to fight on foot, like in Battlefront II. Nice.

I decided to try Luke in Sabotage (Since Bespin is free for the weekend for non season pass players), this has helped me a lot and gotten a lot better at him, I still suck at him against other heroes though, getting better at Lando as well, just need to get good at Boba Fett and Dengar.

 

Anyone have tips on Luke when fighting other heroes?

A re-skinned Battlefield probably would have been better. Battlefront is just a very shallow arcade shooter with little content.

It's a fun casual MP shooter in a world where we don't really have any casual shooters. It almost fits a niche.
