I just want there to be chat among us. So I can talk like Darth Vader as I'm taking enemies out. LOL. Like chat where the other team can hear as well. I think that a 16 player game should be able to handle the load, I could see them not being able to do 40 man chat though. Understandble for that many. they have private lobbies now which I think allows chat amongst friends if you want to form a clan or something. one thing this game needs is chat in modes like fighter squadron I hate being the only one on the team trying to take out enemy flagships or protect our own because everybody is too busy dogfighting I can't tell them to go for the escort ship esmittystud101 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

HaythamKenway Posted June 15, 2016 Share Posted June 15, 2016 I did jump back in a couple of weeks ago. It's good to switch MP games up a lot, so they won't start grating on you. Have to say, the matches I've had in the time since were some of the best I've ever played in this game. I don't know what happened, maybe the population is more refined, maybe there were some balance tweaks I don't know about, maybe it's just me, taking the break, but it was just a really fun experience. I'm thinking about the season pass too, but I hope for a sale of something. It's still a wee bit too expensive, even if I like the game. I wish they had the playlist for other areas other than Outer Rim. Probably my favorite game mode on any shooter I've ever played. I love modes that revolve around one particular area on the map. Just one area of the map though, not three. I also saw where they changed the timeframe on which we will be getting all the DLC now. I guess they want the 4th DLC drop to hit in December of 2016 instead of early 2017. I just hope quality control steps in and makes sure everything is working and the DLC quality doesn't take a hit since there being rushed now. I'm guessing its becasue of Battlefront 2 is why. Two or so new maps and a couple uninteresting heroes is not worth the money. I think they seriously need to reevaluate the price of DLC. OH NO Posted June 15, 2016 Share Posted June 15, 2016 (edited) i swear this game was f*cked due to people playing objective based games as if it was team deathmatch but last few weeks ive been involved in constant wars with some fantastic teamplay..i think bacta bomb helped as it was the first card to really promote teamplay and its a permanent item in my loadout also the switch from pulse cannon being accurate if you are only static may have deterred those useless snipers..not that all snipers are useless of course but those motherf*ckers who camp on the edge of a map contributing nothing are...i cant even think of a suitable insult but yeah this game is glorious when your team are ptfo, i stormed a spot alone in supremacy recently and held it down for moments but was about to be overwhelmed when 5 of my team just flew into back me up it was f*ckin brilliant love extraction too, my tactic of smoke bomb plus scan pulse is devine, constant smoke bombs on the cart and scan and ur basically batman...got accused of cheating a few times lol not too fussed on dengar but could surprise me, lando should be good, chewie BETTER be comin soon whats everyones favourite loadout/game mode/hero btw? Hell, at first I thought they made the DL-44 useless. It's still a beast. Pretty much every gun is beastly. One Walker with a smidgen of health, or taken down by snow speeders. It's much more balanced than it used to be, or is given credit for. The mass exodus of newbs (haven't used that word in a while) definitely has made the game more fun. I'm on far far less teams that feel like I'm the only one who has played the game before. God, that looks gorgeous. I'm not really interested in Battlefront, because it seems pretty overpriced and shallow, but aesthetically they captured Star Wars almost perfectly. Eventhough you notice the voice acting isn't from the original actors (and with some quotes it's cringe worthy) in the heat of it all it isn't that disturbing and flows in nicely/gets mixed up with all the other things that are Star Wars. My advise to people who are huge Star Wars fans but might think it's overpriced? Wait for the Premium edition of the game (Basegame + all DLC). Or if you want you can/could already get the basegame for cheap and try to find the premium discounted. I can't wait to play this. Looks superb. Also they better add in Chewie at a certain moment! He doesn't get any f*cking love while he's a key character. Not to mention with his addition I do hope they will realise Heroes vs Villains sucks ass as it is now. You just play that gamemode to be selected as a hero/villain character and to do some damage to opposing hero/villains and in the meantime slay some rebel/imperial troops because you overpower them big time. And about the secrecy, an upcoming novel this summer will be the first canon material to deal with it, so that could explain why they'd want to keep a lid on a Battlefront adaptation of it. It's either that, or the expansion being somehow Episode VIII related, which I honestly think is unlikely. Or maybe EA is just teasing with question marks, hoping to sell more Season Passes with a promise of a Mysterious SurpriseTM, and the final expansion will just be the Empire invading Yavin, post-ANH. Which could be fun too, actually. Yeah I also liked the fact Dice was pushing out quite alot of free content but somehow/some reason halted this. I mean we gotten a couple of free maps (Night Hoth, Jakku,...) and two (or three?) free blasters and the Bacta starcard (which is epic btw). I hope to see more free stuff surrounding the release of new DLC's and between them. Also like you said; maybe they push out an extra pack. But I doubt that at this point. Tails Prower Posted June 20, 2016 Share Posted June 20, 2016 (edited) Well after a frustrating morning on GTA Online yesterday (won't bore you all) I put Star Wars Battlefront in to have a look last night as I said I would give it another play following OH NO's post. I must say it was a very enjoyable couple of hours, one of my big frustrations with the game originally was people seemed more interested in just killing players than actually completing the objectives of the game, maybe a wrong assumption but that's what it felt like and it frustrated me - a lot, I also could not handle the intensity of the combat as I am not fast at reacting and got spawn killed a lot... That was Feb 2016 and June 2016 the tide has turned for this game it seems as I decided to go straight in at the deep end and play Supremacy, Walker Assault et all first and I saw some very good teamwork/strategies and at last people appear to be playing the game mode objectives as it should be as all the game modes were fun and enjoyable, I am still only good at killing in Fighter Squadron though. I see they made a change and we can now level up beyond 50, what's the new maximum or is there not one? All in all I'm more likely to play this now and again but my main game from this week is going back to Elder Scrolls Online, I need to rest myself from GTA Online now. EDIT: I should add I played the ultimate annoyance Dune Sea Exchange last night on several game modes and it was most enjoyable, not the map I hated. Tech-Noir Posted June 22, 2016 Share Posted June 22, 2016 The DLC is pretty great, glad I got the Season Pass. I love screaming YEEEEEHOOO as Lando, twas worth the $50 alone. Only problem I've had so far is the spawns in the Carbon Freezing Chamber on Blast are pretty ridiculous and cramped. My team of Rebels kept funneling into hallways just to get picked off by the empire. Working towards some of the new DLC weapons is getting to be a bit frustrating too, especially having to use the targeting rifle, the T-21B since I don't like it in the slightest. Tech-Noir Posted June 23, 2016 Share Posted June 23, 2016 Damn I was playing this match of Sabotage and for some reason all appearance unlocks became glitched so everyone in the lobby was able to play as who we wanted to minus the new Wing Guard and Shock Trooper. I quickly rushed to pick the Twi'Lek and was so excited that I would not have to wait for her anymore since I'm rank 43. My team was a ton of Wee Quays and Twi'Leks as well while the enemy team was one-hundred percent Shadow Troopers so I knew the glitch was running for them as well. Unfortunately after the match was over my character got reset to one of the default rebels but that kinda motivated me to level up more and keep on playing. Thankfully due to the update on giving 100 points per assist, leveling up is a lot faster. I also unlocked the Relby today finally after having to suffer through using the T-21B and damn it's such a good gun, I'm surprised it's not used much. I think I've been killed by it less than five times in my whole time of playing this game. I love that it fires as fast as you pull the trigger so it can mean business at close ranges as well as far. Going for the EE-4 next since it seems to be a close to mid-range beast, looks fun. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The only downside was them not adding Extraction mode for the new location. But that could have been because of the way the maps are designed. Outer Rims map is perfect for that mode, and I'm not even sure, but I think the design of Outer Rim was made mainly for Extaction and the other modes like it. So really I can't be dissapointed I guess. They probably made the right choice. But it still would have been fun trying to follow that cart on one of those skinny ramps in the new location, LOL. Still hoping on a massive discount on the Premium for PC (since I have the game on both PS4 and PC). Also nice of them to add extra missions to the Battlefront base command app. Pretty fun app in my opinion and a great way to 'boost' those credits while not actively playing (and since I have a job where I have alot of dead moments to waste a couple of minutes on the little game it's even better).
