Still a lot of DL-44 in game but certainly seen a bit more variety in the weapons since the update and it is a blessing to

not hear constant Thermal Imploders or grenades going off in a match, still seeing them used but people actually seem

to be thinking about their attack strategy/weapons.

 

My droid run game I was completely useless as kept spawning in near players who were using long range snipe

attacks so my blaster pistol was never going to win against that.

 

That said for the first time in Walker Assault I actually managed to survive with only 8 deaths (no kills) but I was playing

the sniping game from afar, it seems you get more benefit playing this style.

 

I still can't decide what is this best overall game plan, I like run n gun but it seems to be very much the wrong tactics

in Battlefront and using cover/crouch/snipe attacks and picking off the run n gun players.

I was playing cargo the other day and all the other team were huddled together protecting theirs and you know when you just think "now f*ck that" so I ran off and they chased me. What they didn't know was I had a thermal imploder muahahahaha 😄

It is very sweet when you get multiple kills with grenades.

 

I was playing Walker Assault on Endor two nights ago and casually tossed a grenade ahead and it came back I killed five players

explosive streak reward, must have all been in a huddle crouched, I imagine rage must have been high esp since I also had a hero

pickup and was Darth Vader just aftewards on a huge kill streak.

 

I'm beginning to think I'm learning to cope with the long range tactics and short range, I played the long range sniper game last night

in Blast on the new open layout map (Survival one with rocky cliffs/caves) and got six kills long distance, 8 deaths but that was due

to unlucky cheap kill spawns behind me)

 

Can any of you tell me something though which guns counts as long range kills as I have kills on every weapon bar long range?

ive flown kamikaze tie fighter into groups of rebels of holding a control point, flown kamikaze into at ats. basically because trying to strafe ground forces is difficult so f*ck it. any tips?

 

 

had a one on one as vader vs luke in the centre of the map surrounded by players, i lost but it was immense

 

 

stalked the underground halls with boba fett and flaming people then just running and flying off

 

 

and just the general pew pew pew in at st and everything. man im a star wars fan of course so this game resonates... but has any sci fi film since ever come close to matching the sound effects of the weapons in star wars?

 

 

idk how id feel if i paid full price or whatever and f*ck them for wanting more money for dlc, but as it is in a dark room with surround sound boomin this game is a good craic. also i never new they were pronounced AY TEE AY TEE i thought it was AHT AHT. aht aht is better

 

havent had much time to play but as a star wars fan its great to pick up and just dive into..i want to get good at it though so i might spend a bit of time with it and i think its worth it. the lack of customisation etc is a pisstake and if it didnt come with my ps4 bundle im not sure if id have been happy spending 50 60 gibs on it or whatever


anyone want to give me any tips on what you consider favourite weapons, hands? would be appreciated

I've found the hand that's most handy is having the jump pack, impact grenade and whatever for the top one.. focus fire, cooling cell, etc.. I never use it.

I'm terrible with flying starfighters too. The only tips I can give is to fly far and high from the battlefield, then turn and slow down. Look out for small dots moving on the ground and target it. Always pull up earlier than you think you should. There have been so many times when I believe I would and should have survived being so close to the ground, but nope.

 

I love the sound effects in this game too, and the visual details.

 

 

 

yeah thats what ive been trying, but i can never see sh*t. i did get to the point i was deploying the cable onto the walker yesterday but then it gave me some instruction to fly level and i mean, whats bleedin level? i f*cked it up anyway and then f*cked up again by flying into the legs kamikaze, the walker immediately fired on the escaping ship..i could have saved the day. But still, really fun.

man i was daydreaming about this game the other day, imagine a three week (etc) campaign where so many ppl sign up as either imperial or rebel, you stick with that choice, with the ensuing battles all working towards one side taking control of important star systems etc, every battle counts and theres an overall wider sense of a huge war taking place.

 

pointless daydreaming this mind when the game seems half completed in terms of content, was this £60 on release? f*ckin rip

Ah, you're talking about the Star Wars: Despecialized edition, it's a new hope in HD but with none of the special edition edits, google up on how to download it as it's not allowed to be linked here.

 

It's only A New Hope, however and not Empire Strikes Back or Return Of The Jedi.

Well I decided to put Star Wars Battlefront to bed last week and uninstalled the game data from my PS4, hard decision but this is the first

video game that has got the better of me and I've thrown in the towel, the update made improvements but was not enough for my style

of play as I still struggled with aim in ground battles.

 

Reached Level 50 and have everything in game except the Diorama figurines but not really got the enthusiasm to try and complete those

at the moment.

 

Might dig it out again at some point in the future or if future updates rekindles interest.

I'm trying to get wins in every game mode. But my teams' win percentage seems to be 10%. I just can't buy a good team. Took me hours to get a supremacy win. Still working on a Dropzone win.

Thank god i'm not the only one, there are a lot of sh*t teams in this game, almost feels you're the only one who can carry the team...

ive been'going imperial every game and have lost about 7 out of ten so either ive been sh*t or rebels are overpowered slightly, tell u what the lasds who have control of the rebel airspeeders are unreal

 

 

 

also i like how the rebel heroes work better as a team while the dark side are more individual, makes sense

This is one of the reasons I gave up playing, getting too frustrated at being on the loosing team and constantly being killed relentless by the winning side.

 

As I see it one thing DICE should do is introduced some sort of penalty for quitting a match as at the moment this can be done without any consequence to the player,

I know Rockstar's Bad Sport is the extreme and not a popular method but at least people stick it out to the end of the match and in general there is a much better sense

of co-ordination/team play.

 

I presume these problems are still regular as I need to get the wins in certain modes as well but reluctant to play with the current player base.

 

That said they did introduce private lobbies so maybe if enough of us need wins in certain modes (Drop Zone etc) we could arrange a private lobby?

i used to play far cry 2 and would always join the weaker side up against vets, always loved the challenge and yeah we would lose but.i mean whats the point in a load of experienced players 'pwning noobs' (sorry)....one match i remember was me and bunch of lower levels and we were matching them for kills, i got the final kill but they disconnected and we lost. what kind of spaz even cares about that...man i left some messages on that guys inbox just laughin like f*ck till he blocked me, french c*nt

 

 

At the moment i go imperial each match as im roleplaying our final defence and its just something extra to make things a bit more involving. i feel i may be bored of game by the time the new maps are released

I enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of joining a losing team, and then getting a win, as well.

 

As for role playing. I kind of do a little. Just as much as when I'm imperial, I don't play storm troopers without helmets, and always use the trusty E-11.

yep the e11 is too iconic and also i never play without a helmet. what level are u mate, just curious. the unlocks are f*ckin awful tbh but i loved the scout trooper design when i was young so im about level 36 and almost ready to unlock it

 

 

this game should also have two grenades per round so i can carry a smoke one as well

A little late to the party but I got this game not too long ago. Been a long-time fan of this series since the 1st one came out back in 2004. Really finding this enjoyable albeit repetitive in nature.

 

On the subject of helmets, ya, there's something a little immersion breaking in seeing a helmetless middle aged Asian lady storm trooper running down the battlefield.

that new dlc, i look forward to going chewie on jabbas outer rim, could add a hole new vein of gameplay, also hope i can CP 3 Over an enemy at whim

you know summin i realised about star wars TESB the other day, i always hear it referred to the battle on Hoth but isnt Hoth the system and not the actual planet? ive prob missed something
