Look at this, Rockstar just posted a picture with the V logo on twitter or I don't know when and the media filled their news with it within a matter of minutes. If it wasn't for the media a lot of people wouldn't know about V. And what I meant is that GTA was innovative back then, when III was released, sure, but now it's getting stale, really. That's my opinion. I respect your opinion and I agree that the media is indeed a powerful medium that helps games, movies, songs, etc. become popular. But I still think that if the games became stale and lacked innovation, people wouldn't have bought them, they wouldn't be nearly as popular as they were today. I have a hard time believing that everybody is just a mindless consumer that buys everything that's overhyped by the media. You would be surprised by how many are out there. On the long shot, GTA is always the best game. You can also play The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall for like hundreds of years. Will you call that a better quality than GTA? Your logic is clearly broken. Fix it! His logic is not broken, daggerfall still is equally on par with GTA if you take into account how groundbreaking it was at the time its playable area and game content, its only the graphics and the gaming community as it is now that stops it beng considered as 'equal' quality by most.
