tranceking26
You don't really mean that. lol at the simpsons image metal gear solid is NOTHING on GTA, for a start it was a totally different type of game, they just were probs scared of being whooooped so badly by other games they made it open world. Either way GTA V will sell far more. snake is an old fart anyway
Colonel Dre
See MGS:V had my attention in the trailer..... Until it introduced the characters and decided to live up to the whacky japan sh*t. Like really? A mute sniper named Quiet? Are you f*cking kidding me? There's a f*cking 12 year old as a character! So yeah, it had my attention and looked like an awesome game until all that sh*t showed up. Like f*cking Project Spark looks like a better game than MGS:V I guess you never played MGS before. It's not a normal universe. It has some supernatural warriors (I guess that's what you're referring to as "whacky japan sh*t") and you get to fight them in boss battles. No I haven't exactly because of that. It had my attention because it looked different

mikekolesar
I started searching up on "GTA V" a week after GTA IV released and I was finished with the campaign. The only game I've waited longer/a long ass time for was a sequel to Halo 3 and I never felt careless about Halo 4 pre-launch, but comparing that wait to this one for GTA V I am a lot more careless and it seems I'm in the same boat as you. A couple months ago I came to the realization that the graphics will be improved upon very little since it is indeed a 7th gen game. With that in mind I have came to the ultimate conclusion that the same issues with GTA IV are going to be in this game undeniably. Seeing the same boring peds every corner you turn or seeing the same set of cars in a certain area and after playing a couple hours getting used to the car sets (This was so annoying in GTA IV, seeing like 500 Dukes and Vincents in the airport and nothing else). With the loads of info we have gotten as well I have set realistic expectations and pretty much know already what the game will be like. This is kind of a stupid thing to say because the game hasn't come out but come on it is a 7th gen game. Also, that stuff you read in the previews about smart, unique peds in the street is BS. I remember the same sh*t was being spewed out from IGN and other sites about how amazing the peds are and how you'd "never see the same face." I don't remember specifically where and I don't care to search but that claim was thrown out the window when on launch night within a few minutes I was looking at the same people on the street over and over again. But the most important factor as to why I have become more careless about GTA V is the next-gen consoles and games. The anticipation I have for the next-gen is huge and I can't wait to get my hands on a console and some games! Beyond this though in regards to finances I have to shell out several hundos for a new console, add another hundo in there for a mic + one game, and then I remember oh sh*t I have to pay $60 a couple months earlier in September for GTA V. GTA V has become an afterthought essentially. Edited June 18, 2013 by mikekolesar

We don't really know if that's true. I trust R* over you though. And GTA IV really did have a pretty large number of unique pedestrians, though the reviewers were clearly exaggerating or were shown a beta version. But the most important factor as to why I have become more careless about GTA V is the next-gen consoles and games. The anticipation I have for the next-gen is huge and I can't wait to get my hands on a console and some games! Honestly, If you ask me, don't get the next gen on release date. It won't have any really proper titles on it for years, and same for graphics. They may be slightly improved, but I'm fairly sure the developers haven't even started to understand the system's overall limits.

Zancudo
How is this fanboy thread still open!? If you want to talk about this, move to Konami's forum! That is a simple solution, isn't it? You absolutely misinterpret the reason for this topic. I want to imply on how much Grand Theft Auto V is overrated by fanboys like you. People like you can't see sh*t beyond this game and you can't even accept the fact the game is most likely going to be 95% made of aspects that's been already featured in the latest Rockstar's games. Basing on the previews, literally THE ONLY thing that happens to be something new to the series, is that we'll have to obey road rules. Everything else are the more advanced versions of things we've seen in GTA:SA, GTAIV, MC:LA and RDR. Moreover, the game doesn't seem like something to seriously push forward the industry, like it was with GTA:SA or GTAIV. The plot looks just as a clone of Heat, only in more ridiculous and Hollywodish, "full-of-bombs-and-guns" edition, and the gameplay - like I said - is nothing more than a compilation of previous Rockstar's installments. Meanwhile, there are games like Metal Gear Solid V, which tries to break the boundaries of taboo and deliver something mature, something much more intellectual, something artistic and thoughtful-provoking, or WATCH_DOGS which, aside from the city and the side-missions which are bound to be repeatable and rather meh (it's Ubisoft after all...), it aims to do something new to the games, to bring them on another level of storywriting, gameplay and rewrite the definition of multiplayer gaming. While I still keep my GTA V pre-ordered, I'm only expecting a great mix of all the things Rockstar has done to date, but nothing more than that. As for tearing down the walls of innovations, I keep my eye on different titles. And that's the problem of GTA V. This game was supposed to move the industry forward - but looking at the all 5 trailers, 234823 screenshots and reading 24982349 lines of previews, it doesn't seem like it will change something to the gaming. You can also switch between them during missions. Unlike EFLC, they have upgradeable stats and unique abilities, plus the fact that they can roam the city while you don't control them, and when you switch back to them you can find them in numerous circumstances. Another pretty innovative features that wasn't in any of the previous games is the heist planning and hiring crews which get progressively better. Goodbye troll, it's clear now that you are mad at R* for a reason Number 4 is confirmed. As a matter of fact, all of them are. You either choose to take the blue pill, or the red pill. Your choice. Happyness
MGS is a good game, but it's a game that has a linear story and they just copied the open world from RDR. Simple. JESUS CHRIST WHAT THE f*ck?! Every open-world game is copying Rockstar and their sh*tty games, oh my God... I don't even know what to say. I respect you GTAfan768 but that statement is f*cking retarded. Every game out there is copying Rockstar, yeah, right, because III was the first 3d open-world game and it brought innovation to gaming and hurr durr every other game sucks. GTA fans disgust me. I will keep browsing this forums because of the other sections, but visiting this forum will become a rarer thing. Just reading sh*t like that posted makes me go mad that you people are nothing but a bunch of sheep that are buying sh*t from rockstar if they threw it for you. (Not everyone of course) Get over yourselves and get over GTA, it's getting old. Nothing innovative in it.
Zancudo
You can also switch between them during missions. Unlike EFLC, they have upgradeable stats and unique abilities, plus the fact that they can roam the city while you don't control them, and when you switch back to them you can find them in numerous circumstances. Another pretty innovative features that wasn't in any of the previous games is the heist planning and hiring crews which get progressively better. Stats - haven't we had them already in San Andreas? Finding protagonists doing things when you don't control them sounds great, but the truth is, it's going to get old very fast. I just can't find it any exciting that I'll be able to see that one of my protagonists is playing golf, and the other one is driving a car. Nothing much spectacular, if you imagine you will see this every time you'll switch through the characters. Come on people, give me something more than the discoverable ocean floor and obeying the road rules. Because those are so far the only innovative aspects of this new GTA.
