no you dont have to pay for online

they said if you pay you can access to multiplayer free games that only can be download(immersive PSN GAMES)-

if you buy something on cd or psn you dont need to pay for online

 

and they said if you dont pay you can play single player "free games" from PSN

Can someone give me a recap of what happened after 2k got shown

SONY WON THIS HANDS DOWN! Basically SONY announced that gaming will work like on the PS3. No restrcitions whatsoever as opposed to Microsoft, basically no DRM. He then went to talk about PS Plus on the PS4 and said people without it would be able to enjoy "Single Player" which has led to a lot of confusion on if we need to have PS Plus for multiplayer on the PS4. He then said PS Plus members get DRIVE CLUB for FREE (likely not at launch) and will get 1 NEW Title for FREE every month for at least the first year. Then a demo of I think DESTINY.

Then came the PRICE!:

$399 ($100 cheaper than XBOX ONE)

399 Euros (100 Euros cheaper than XBOX ONE)

349 Pounds

today was devastating for microsoft. they have been utterly blown out of the water. sad to say that because ive been on the xbox side of the spectrum the last 8 years of so. but playstation has completely destroyed xbox this next gen

 

question..... a little confused if playstation will be free-to-play multiplayer like it is currently?

Sony dominating the market can only lead to bad things, and the future from here on in console gaming looks a little bit bleak. Big mistake to all the devs who got bought off to be exclusive for the XBOX I guess.

Yeah it sucks because the previous two gens I was on the Xbox side. I always got an Xbox at launch and whatever Sony had later on.

 

But next-gen...sorry M$....I am coming over to Sony and will likely get Xbox One at a later date. If at all, don't like the whole Kinect is always on BS.

For people complaining about having to pay for multi. Yeah it sucks but PS Plus is pretty awesome and you get the console cheaper than X1. As a neutral fan I just don't get how Microsoft flopped so badly. I just can't imagine Sony and Microsoft don't know what the other is doing/planning. How the F**K did they not see this coming?

Indeed. I watched the entire conference and nowhere did sony say you must have plus to play online. They mentioned the bonuses for those with plus but never stated it plus was needed for online play.

Where did ign pull this sh*t from?
