Sounded to me like he worded it VERY carefully by saying something about being to enjoy "Single Player" games. Could be wrong tho.

I was a bit confused by what they said also. They mentioned that if you don't have the Plus account you can play single player, which made it seem like multi-player was a Plus-only choice. It was poorly worded.

PS plus is an added experience, which in its core has nothing to with multiplayer. So no pay for online guys.

I know and trust me thats awesome! However it's extrememly newsworthy if we now need PS Plus to play online (Not confirmed! But there is a lot of confusion on this right now).

About online, if we do need to pay for online it will leave a bitter taste having it free on the ps3.

You do have to have playstation plus to play online multiplayer, which is a small price considering they didn't implement any kind of DRM.

Exactly this, he literally said if you don't have PS Plus you can enjoy "Single Player". This DOES NOT confirm we need PS Plus for multi but it does make everything confusing.
