I doubt it's the same road. That's the other one in Trevor's gameplay trailer. That freeway one just looks like road to me. See the rails? There both different.

i just noticed something i hadnt noticed before. look at what appears to be a building, follow down the right side of the building below the road sign. the "building" appears to jut back in towards its base like its a tree or shrub or something. im not saying thats what it is, but the side of whatever it is doesnt follow a straight line down to the ground

i would much rather see the map pre release. im anxious to know how accurate the mapping thread is. id also like to know just how much bigger los santos is than liberty city.

To me, seeing the map before release is cool. All it does is just show the roads and routes. It's not like it's showing you the scenery and land scape of the location. That's what I'm waiting to see.

Yeah, but even though I was amazed by how great it looked, it would have been a fantastic experience if I had never watched the game play and saw it all for the first time when I was actually in that world. I don't know, if they brought out a map before release it'd put to bed a lot of debates and a lot of great threads would come to an end

see to me no amount of footage or screens or maps will ruin the "experience" of playing the game for the first time. they wont show the story and they wont show the opening scene. also, there is no substitute for actually playing the game yourself. i can definitely see your argument about the threads ending. itll suck but there will be new threads once the game is released

well the one in link also show that elevated roadway, it's just showing it from the lane next to the

one in the posted pic. Thats the same bridge & elevated road, IMO.

It also makes sense that if the trees to the far right in the linked pic are what we

think is the building below the sign in the posted pic.

see thats what is crazy to me. there is so much in this game. there is an entire thread dedicated to the upgrades of law enforcement vehicles, and a thread for car customization, and one for multiple towns/cities, and weapons custumization, and side activities, and the map size. so many things in this game. its like every game we have ever wanted rolled into one. racing, hunting, skydiving, basejumping, bountyhunting, custom weapons, custom cars, shooting ranges, upgraded fighting mechanics, upgraded shooting mechanics, multiple flyable aircraft and air races, blimps, bank robbing, holding up stores and robbing civilians at atm's, hell we may even be able to fish. this game is unreal

 

edit: f*ck... i forgot about the enderwater exploration and probably 5 or 10 other features as well. stocks, revamped multiplayer, properties, off road vehicles and races. the list goes on

The thing that is odd to me is that it is a left exit ramp sign which in my years exploring southern california there are only two of those I have ever seen and both are in San Bernadino, one heading out on the 15 towards the high desert and Barstow the other on the 91 heading south towards Riverside which this looks exactly like the 15 heading towards barstow. Interesting to me.

just noticed I am wrong about being the same road. Unless they've changed the mountain by the bridge.

I guess it could be same road, just much further down it.

Where that bridge starts in the new pic there is a large squared off indent in the mountain.

On the linked pic it's smooth like a hill.

So my statement that the "building" may be trees isn't as valid.

It could still be a building below that sign.

 

As far as a left lane exit, I've seen a buncj in my travels.

it doesn't have to be precise to SoCal in relation to Los Santos, San Andreas.

as long as they dont pull a just cause 2 with the boring cities then im fine with the 3 that we will gave. but i really dont see how there can be only one city when we have seen trains, planes that go somewhere, cargo trucks, POSTERS FOR GLORY HOLE and a highway that leads out of los santos. that high way cant go to sandy shores so it must go to another city

exactly. but people call me stupid for saying there is another city. they say, "no just live with it rockstar said los santos and blaine county" YEA WELL BLAINE COUNTY IS HUGE, THEY COULD PUT LIBERTY CITY IN BLAINE COUNTY. and why do they say blaine county and not just sandy shores, they dont say the county of los santos, they say city. meaning rockstar is hiding something there otherwise theyll just say sandy shores and its surrounding wilderness.

It's pretty accurate, though. You couldn't have done better. Evidence of no other cities, except just what Rockstar has said. I just sent an email to Rockstar by the way.
