Alternative ways to do missions

[HOW'S ANNIE?]

O.k so I'm doing another replay of GTA IV and I'm looking for alternative ways to do missions, I mean the way in which most people don't go about them.

 

The two I've come up with so far:

- Using a helicopter to reach the roof in Late Checkout, and making my way from top to bottom.

- And sniper Calrence Little from the crane in Holland Nights.

YES! I kept dying on that mission so I just called the cops and cleared out the rest of the enemies when all of them left.

 

For Pegorino's Pride, it's possible to just take a car that a gang party arrived in and, after Jimmy's injured, just drive around the gun-battle you're supposed to partake in straight to him.

That's just brilliant. I've never tried it.

For Bull in a China Shop, I used a shotgun to shoot out the window.

 

In Liquidize the Assets, I landed a helicopter on one of the roofs around the supply area. My helicopter broke. I shot everyone there and the police arrived. They shot me until my health was about 10%. I realized the roof I was on didn't have a ladder or door leading to the ground. I jumped down at the right angle and fell onto a giant crate. I lived, shot the remaining cops, the last Russians, and destroyed the vans.

Why didn't I think of that? lol. Thinking about it you could use this tactic for all the shootouts.

In that mission you do for Playboy X, Deconstruction for Beginners don't take the lift up to the roof top, you can snipe the guys on the cranes from where you stand. Then run over the road and hop over the fence, snipe the 1st guy with the red arrow above him, then climb right up the top and you can snipe two more. Then climb down fast, watch out because all the goons come running then run back across the road and go up the lift to the roof top and snipe the last union leader. Easy and no health lost.

 

Final Interview - kill the manager and then shoot a window and just jump out instead of battling security. But have armor and full health!

 

Bleed Out - just make sure you have a gun to shoot the guys at the basketball court and from the boardwalk area you can find molotovs. I like to watch that last guy burn

For Bull In A China Shop, I just driven a car straight into the window. And got the cutscene to return to Vlad with the money.

For Holland Nights, I Climbed the crane and sniped him (if you spare him, he will die anyway).

For Late Checkout, I used the window cleaner (appears only for the mission) to go up the building.

For Bleed Out, I didnt go after Dardan, I wen the way around and when he got out the car, I ran him over.

For ...Out Of The Closet, I hit French Tom with a bat and then made him fall over. I kept standing and walking on him until he died.

For Ivan The Not So Terrible, if you want him to get Ivan killed, just get grenades before the mission from the monoglobe in Dukes and when Ivan will be upstairs (he will stand there until you will climb) just throw a grenade and explode him.

For Brucies Races (Not No.1!!), I park in front of everyone and then I reverse into them so the race will start with me being first.

For Final Interview, I used a knife and then jumped out the window.

For Smackdown, I called cops to deal with all enemies.

For Dining Out, I blow up car and bike parked at the restaurant and then Rocket Launched Kim Young-Guk

For ...Pest Control, I waited until Ray and his bodyguards stop at gas station. Rocket Launched them.

For Departure Time, I Rocket Launched Timur and Sticky Bomb'd Bulgarin

For A Dish Served Cold, I Rocket Launched Dimitri (It is better if you watch the execution though)

For Bang Bang (End Game Mission Replay), I Buzzard'd the train and the plane.

For Sexy Time, I Buzzard'd the yacht during the phone call so it will save a lot of time. (I managed to completely destroy it during phone convo so after finishing I had the cutscene)

For This Aint Checkers and Triathlons, I shoot the tires of opponents if I find time.

For The Snow Storm, I take the boat parked at the pier.

 

That's all I could remember so far.

- I used Packie's car bomb ability on "Pest Control" and detonated the bomb when Ray and his guys stop at the gas station, then destroyed the last car with a rocket launcher.

 

- On "Final Interview" after topping Goldberg, I jumped out of the window and went to my car I parked outside at the start of the mission only to find it was now gone, so I had to run all the way to the Higgin's Helitours site and steal a helicopter to escape the LCPD.

 

- And in "Harbouring A Grudge" after obtaining the truck I pulled outside of the lot, got out and ran around a little bit to trigger the pursing cars to spawn to which I shot the pursuers and blew up their vehicles to ensure a smooth drive over to the lock-up.

 

Those are a few that come to my mind at this current moment in time.

thats funny, im on that mission right now im gonna give that a try and see what happens lol.
