universetwisters
I've been going through the V section as of late, and all the ideas they keep spewing out "REALIZTIK COP CARS"..."TRAFFEK TICKITS"..."FERST PERSON VEW"...and personally, in my opinion, they're all bummer ideas. What do you guys personally think would ruin future GTA games? Personally (aside from all those ideas), I think getting a legitimate job would ruin GTA for me. No, I don't want to be a telemarketer, I want to steal cars damnit!

No, I don't want to be a telemarketer, I want to steal cars damnit! -Gas -Solid light poles -Realistic cop movement -Realistic cars -Realistic brands -Realistic TV shows -Road laws All the things that bring out GTA's potential taken out would be disastrous, horrifying, and sadly, ruinous. Yes, things can be added to GTA that will not ruin it, but it better not mess with classic GTA stuff.
TrevorSpeed914
No cheats. I was incredibly disappointed that GTA 4 had so few.
killdrivetheftvehicle
Anti wishlist -small map -very few vehicles -no satire -linear missions (ie. no different options to do the same missions) -abandoning the balance of realism and fun of the previous installments -laws of physics ignored -no minigames -no radio DJs

cp1dell
Honestly, if it was way too goofy. A lot of people complain that IV was "too serious," and that Saints Row 3 was perfect compared to IV. No idea what the hell they're going on about, because there were plenty of moments that had me laughing. You might as well say Portal is way too serious. Dark/black humor =/= serious. Thamuz
I prefer it more serious, if GTA turned out like the Saints Row series it would have ruined it for me.

Katve
List for me: -Only first person view -Gas -Traffic tickets -Zombies -GTA focused mainly towards multiplayer -Saints Row style missions -Grappling hook (JC2 style) -Real jobs and stuff like that -Sims style roleplay elements that are not optional
guib
-abandoning the balance of realism and fun of the previous installments This, sadly with IV I thought it was a little too much realism. In previous GTA's you could easily get a car and drive away from the cops. Here you have to open the whole window and all that sh*t just to get in. Also you run so slow, you can't even keep up with a slow driving car. Stuff like that ruins a game. -Sims style roleplay elements that are not optional And I also I hate to keep up with things like girlfriends and eating(GTA SA style), where you have to do something about it or you ruin things. This is indeed not Sims, is GTA, I don't want to eat in dinners and go out on dates, I want to shoot innocent people and have cool policechases. GoldenBlade
If GTA was to take ANY step similar to Saint's Row (such as the "dubstep gun"), I'd lose complete respect.

Mr_Leone
- If the gameplay was biased, if you'd get penalized for rampages and such - Futuristic story - Weapons that don't make sense
winme05
What is already ruining the game for me, is how they didn't port both Stories and Chinatown Wars to PC. Sure, there are emulators, but I don't have a PC strong enough for that. I've also heard that GTA IV for example, was focused to consoles, and PC port wasn't as optimized, meaning higher system requirements. If this is true, it sucks. What else? Hmmm, first person view, very linear missions and even less realistic weapons. I know that getting too realistic would ruin the game, but some stuff should be bit more realistic. Pyrrhic
A default first-person view where the game was oriented around it and the third-person view was more of an 'afterthought'.
Vercetti42
If it were to release ever year after year like Call of Duty. It would just make it boring and R* money greedy and pretty much give the series a bad name.
Algonquin Assassin
If single player was ditched in favour of making it an MMORPG.
Patrizio
abandoning the balance of realism and fun of the previous installments This pretty much. Lose that balance and you lose what made GTA, GTA. Plus what Miamivicecity said - I'd like a separate GTA MMORPG, but never in place of single player.
Andreas
I would say a new title release every year and the multiplayer being more important than the singleplayer. I hope that neither will ever happen or I'm going to be seriously disappointed.
