So should I buy the complete edition, even though I traded in the standard edition? Or should I buy Red Dead Redemption?
omer19992010
Buy Red Dead Redemption. It's way better than GTA IV and IMO the Best game of this generation.
Happyness
If you haven't played Red Dead Redemption yet, do it now, the game's a masterpiece. , way better than IV.
lol232
Wrong section, but yeah, you should definitely re-buy GTA IV!
The Unknown Man
The Ballad Of Gay Tony is the best GTA to date.
Guest
That's for you to decide. We don't know your tastes, but both are equal content wise. TLAD and BOGT have things RDR doesn't and vice versa, but if you're looking for a V hype builder, GTA would be the better choice, BOGT has some more action packed gameplay, similar to what is to be expected from V. Myself, I think GTA is better than Red Dead Redemption. RDR has a few nice things but it's certainly no GTA killer.
Double L.
Wrong place. You must try EFLC, no doubt. It contains extra things in Gta IV scenario. Also in V you will have seen a lot of things in TBoGT or Tlad. (Like Luis's apparel)
The Unknown Man
but if you're looking for a V hype builder, GTA would be the better choice The wildlife in RDR will certainly build you GTA V hype, since most of them will be on GTA V.
WildBrick142
Buy both games. RDR has wildlife and GTA EFLC has most of the features that will be in V.

Watching a coyote stroll through the desert isn't as exciting as... parachuting out of a golden attack helicopter, taking cops out with a semi auto shotgun with explosive rounds, hijacking a sports car doing a drive-by on some cops then stealing a tank and holding up traffic on the Broker bridge. Fisciletti
The Ballad Of Gay Tony is the best GTA to date. Too bad its storyline was too short. OT: I think you should buy EFLC. TLAD and TBOGT will explain parts of the story, such as the heroin being stolen, the diamonds deal, etc.

Andreas
If you have to decide between GTA IV: The Complete Edition and Red Dead Redemption, then I would say it's worth to buy the former one. It's not like you only re-buy GTA IV, because the Complete Edition also includes The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. They are the probably best add-ons that Rockstar has ever created for one of their titles. It's definitely worth it, but on the other hand, Red Dead Redemption is a pretty good game and it will give you an idea of how the countryside in GTAV is going to be. It depends on your taste and I think you don't do anything wrong with either! anzeyima
Guys, I smell some serious sh*t here. OP I don't know what you're trying to do but stop lying your arse off. Firstly, you say in your opening post that you haven't played TBOGT. Yet on June 6th you say the following: Well im 19 and I dont have any bills cuz I live with my parents, but looking for a summer job sucks. And imma do that start saving $5 every week, but until then imma just probly play ballad of gay tony. I love skydiving in algonquin So: you haven't played TBOGT but you claim that you're probably going to play it. To me it seems as though you have played and will play it again in the near future, but although highly unlikely, I don't thinl you're lying here. The gigantic LIE though is: if I assume you're not lying, you don't own TBOGT. You said you mr planning on buying it, or perhaps TLAD or GTA IV. Yet in the topic I quoted you say you're as broke as can be and you won't be able to afford V. Why the hell would you spend your money NOW instead of saving it for September 17th. Also, why do you create a topic in the IV section asking 'which version should I buy' and in the V section saying you're completely broke. That's contradicting yourself man.. Either you're a big liar or you're very stupid. Make your choice. And Oh , yes, I do have too much time on my hands. Being at Uni is boring. ViceCity09
Haha nice one anzeyima you caught him out good. If you haven't played RDR I deffinitely recommend you buy that as it is an amazing game on the first play-through. I have recently started playing it again and it's just got so boring for me now and the horses are a pain in the ass, no where near as fun as cars. Personally I would rather play GTA IV to get you in the mood for GTA V. Hell why not get both I'm sure you can get GTA IV relatively cheap somewhere?
