Rockstar should make a Zombie Survival Game

Every zombie game out there isn't what I want.. Even my hopes for State of Decay died..

 

 

I was thinking.. Since Rockstar did such a great job with Undead Nightmare, then wouldn't it be the best idea ever if Rockstar mainly focused on making a Zombie survival game? IT WOULD BE THE BEST ZOMBIE GAME EVER!

 

Rockstar can get the mood, the feeling of survival, the beauty of the world with great details and graphics, and making it serious just right!!!

 

I really wish deep in my heart that Rockstar will make a Zombie Survival Game at one point. They just simply must because they are the perfect developers to do so! smile.gif

 

I hope Rockstar reads this (which is unlikely sad.gif) Rockstar is the chosen one to make the best Zombie Survival Game ever! biggrin.gif

I can understand your passion for R* to make a game like that. I have a burning desire for R* to make a Matrix game. They already are extremely proficient with slow-motion, so it would be a wonderful game.

 

As for R* making a zombie survival game, it would be very interesting. But tbh I think they'd have a hard time competing with DayZ standalone (assuming that game delivers peoples' expectations).

I believe Rockstar should make a Vampire game, the only real other contributions to the genre being the bizarre and pretentious Legacy of Kain series.

Set it in a single town over a few hundred years - you must hunt at night and sleep in the day, being sure to remain anonymous, with killing people making you more powerful but progressively less human looking - whereas drinking just enough to survive would reduce the risk of Vampire Hunters coming to your door during the daylight hours but weaken your powers, making sneaking into homes and preying on pedestrians far harder.

 

The environment would change around you as the years pass. With the town becoming more urban and requiring you to mingle with normal folk - the isolated castle being slowly replaced for a country home and later a simple apartment. A Vampire sim spanning CENTURIES.

 

Much better than Zombie killing.

What's wrong with DayZ? It sounds exactly like the kind of game you'd enjoy from the sound of your OP.

Also sound very awesome!

 

But I don't mean zombies as in killing zombies all the time. Just that you are in a world with infected people. You need to survive and stuff.. And you can go into buildings like in the last of us. Would be cool to find other survivors that are hostile and you need to kill them or stay hidden. And then there is also the zombie problem. Staying low and surviving is aweosme! But not a single zombie game has done it that way before.. Or just not the way that I want it..

I don't really know how to explain.. I just don't like it.

 

Graphics also play a big part in it. It looks awful in DayZ. I know graphics don't make a game.. But with a zombie game I want it! That's why Lat of Us looks so damn good!

 

But the way the zombies run is retarded.. Many buildings aren't enterable and it's just a lot of boring walking. The user interface is also weird and confusing to me.

 

Just not my sort of apetite.

Yeah you're saying that, but in my opinion there hasn't been a good zombie game ever yet. Every zombie game is linear. You have to follow a story and can't free-roam really. And games that have free roam suck.. Like Dead Island.

 

Also a dream that got crushed! Trailer deceived me.. But, about the pirates thing I agree! A good pirate game never has been made either really.

I know it was a DLC but the point is it was quite recent and I'm pretty sure that Rockstar's main focus is currently on GTA V, Agent followed by Bully 2 or RDR. DayZ was a mod at the beginning, people loved it and Bohemia Interactive are making a standalone of DayZ from the scratch, it's still in its Alpha Release, don't judge it so far, judge it when it comes out. Also you can't expect an open-world game of 225sqm to be very detailed with its graphics, especially since it has a complex menu and its based on survival and whatnot. It is too complicated to also incorporate mega-huge-awesome graphics, in the end, it's all about the gameplay.

 

Ahh, I've strayed a lot from the subject on topic, but give DayZ a chance when it comes out!

I understnd the graphics thing because of how huge the world is.. I guess my expectations are only getting reached when we're further into the future with better technology. Perhaps Virtual Reality! That would be the best thing ever!

Also, YEAH OCULUS RIFT! I'm telling you man, that's the start of virtual reality! It will become the next thing! And it would be super awesome!

 

What? No! It would be the best thing ever to exist! And horror games would be the best! Imagine being in the game world itself like Fallout, DayZ or any other game?

 

And my dream of being a Hitman can come true aswell in virtual reality gaming! Then I can interact with EVERYTHING!!! biggrin.gif

Well, you don't need a monster PC to run DayZ I think. Look at ArmA 3's requirements, it is running on a new engine other than what DayZ is being developed on. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arma_3

f*ck yes I like Fallout! That's like a game I meant as zombie survival. It has a huge open world and filled with monsters.

 

You don't need to find food and water to survive though.. But damn man, Fallout 3 is a f*cking awesome game. I hope Bethesda starts making Fallout 4 soon! smile.gif
