EvilFuture
A thread dedicated to neat little game facts, not all of them have to be about GTA, just any game. I'll start. Did you know that GTA uses the same font as the price is right? The font is called Pricedown
Grand Theft Savage
That's f*cking epic. I never noticed that. And I watched The Price is Right a couple of days ago.
LittleBlueTroll
Are we meant to say if we did or did not know the previous fact? Because if we are the yes i knew it was called Pricedown. Now i will be the first to admit i hardly know any gaming trivia, and i cannot shamelessly Google something really good and pass it off as me knowing it. So i will post one of the only fun gaming facts i know: Did you know that the legendary birds in Pokemon, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, the last few letters of their names were 1,2,3 in Spanish. Uno, Dos, Tres.Told you it was pants.

RedDagger
Uh...Bizarre creations, the (now disbanded by Microsoft) creators of the Project Gotham Racing series, have split into multiple mobile gaming companies - except one, which is Playground games, creator of Forza Horizon. It seems weird going from AAA to mobile

Zancudo
Very nice topic. Did you know: Big Boss (Naked Snake) and Solid Snake were heavily inspired by the character, Snake Plissken, from a movie called Escape from New York. Not only Solid Snake's/Naked Snake's names were inspired by his; there's also a character in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty with a name of Pliskin. The newest installment in the series, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, also takes a bit from Snake Plissken's appearance. Just check this out:

Chukkles
Super Mario was originally called super jump man. Also, if you have a copy of super Mario galaxy, look at the case and read each title letter with a Star on it. It reads " U R Mr Gay". Intentional or not, it's there. Vextroid
The original Donkey Kong arcade game was actually going to be a Popeye machine in early stages of development. Half way through Nintendo lost the license or the license holder of Popeye did not approve and not wanting to scrap all their work Shigeru Miyamoto decided to have the sprites changed so Popeye become Jumpman(Mario), Olive Oil become Pauline and Bluto ended up being a huge ape known as Donkey Kong. The success of the game did eventually lead to Nintendo developed Popeye game the following year.
Kiffster
Did you know, in Driv3r, there was a Hawaiian shirt-wearing character called Timmy Vermicelli, a parody of protag Tommy Vercetti from GTA Vice City. He wore swimming bands and made fun of the GTA protag's inability to swim. Edited June 9, 2013 by Werebot85
