Which system will have the better community?

I had GTAIV for the 360 when it came out, and all I seem to remember were kids and a bunch of CoD bros that left after about a month.

I've got a PS3 now, and I'm kind of curious how GTAV online will be on it. I have no idea how GTAIV online was with it.

So yeah, which do you think will have the better online community?

I'm asking which system will be more alive/active in the long run, as I found that everyone in on the 360 seemed to jump back to CoD after about a month.

PS3. For IV, it took longer for modders to invade and ruin most of the game modes.

Likewise, the PS3 side of the gangs and events sections of GTAF are much more pleasant than the 360 side.

Both of the communities will be good, there are not many whiners like in call of duty.

People have no reason to get furious, and rage because they died in game like GTA.

Hopefully Rockstar will not implement k/d, win/loss ratio on different modes / overall.

I'd rather have a leveling system, cause ranking/k/d makes me furious at times.

In my opinion it's PS3, I know a huge group that I used to play a lot with when IV was released, there we created custom game modes such as the now popular Destruction Derby and others like "Busted".

That same group has a lot of PS3 members that game with me and create events with others and it has been spreading around the entire community ever since.

Grand Theft Savage

Xbox 360, but I'm mainly going off of RDR's community. Never found a full RDR game on PS3. But on Xbox 360, I have no trouble at all finding a full session. Same with Max Payne 3. And for GTA IV, a lot of people still play it on both systems, but I've found a bit more on Xbox 360 (though I rarely play GTA on PS3). I'm going to say Xbox here.

Leafy Hollow

Both have great people and 8 year olds who think their sh*t don't stink so I would say it's a draw.

Ironic. He is suggesting his opinion while you get mad because he is with the PS3.

So yeah, which do you think will have the better online community?

PC is the least split and thus most of a community. there's no"MY console is better...nuh MY console is better etc."

besides that there's as*holes in every group, often enough. semi-necessary thread

This. This so hard.

You actually expect an objective, definitive answer to this?

The opinions should be entertaining though.

360 Users only have a better community in games such as CoD, Halo, and of course Minecraft. other games not so much.

Well, I was hoping people would give their reasonings and not just "dur, the console I own"

Guess I shouldn't have expected that much here?

PC because of the mods... but I'm going to say PS3 because on 360 people hacked the sh*t out of GTA IV.

If it's well ported on PC and someone makes a decent V-MP mod similar to SA-MP then I'm pretty sure the PC will have the longest lasting community. Just look at the stats of sa-mp at www.sa-mp.com (below the logo) And note there is also MTA:SA which I have no idea how many players it has. 38k+ players without official multiplayer support on a 8+ year old game. That is just nuts. Even when sa-mp was full of cheaters spawn killing the sh*t out of players it still had many users. The reason to IV having died so early I think is firstly the fact that it was one of the worst console ports known to man kind(not only did it have a ton of technical issues with that crap GFWL, but you also needed a very high end system to play it at a decent framerate) resulting to fewer players(many of which used trainers and similar crap to ruin what was left of the game), and secondly the community-made IV-MP multiplayer mod is still not quite playable tounge.gif

I think I got just a liitle bit off topic here.

Both are fine, you might run into a few hackers in the 360 and the Ps3 but that's it.

This is a complicated question

Because these things are always changing

you will know only when the game came out

Lets see, Xbox is full of little kids, PS3 is filled with trash talkers, and PC is filled with hackers. So you choose.

Where did you get these statistics?

From experience. Go on the 360 and all you hear is kids either trash talking or being annoying. If you go on the PS3 all you hear is guys trash talking when something doesn't go their way.

This is coming from someone who plays PSN mostly and hops on XBL once in a while.
