Vegas, would be fun to gamble the money, at a chance of hitting it big.

All of them.

Seriously. I can't choose. tounge.gif

Before Los Santos was revealed I was hoping San Fierro would have been the setting for V. But it needs to be a stand alone city. It didn't get the proper representation in SA (a lot of landmarks were left out), and if it's just a secondary city in V to LS then I think the same thing might happen again.

1. San Diego

2. Tijuana Mexico

3. Las Vegas

4. San Francisco

Those would be my preferences. I think San Diego might still have a shot at being in. But I don't think it would make sense to put Tijuana in and leave SD out since they're so close, but seeing them both would be great. I don't get everyone's fascination with Vegas, I can take it or leave it, and SF is last because I hope it's used next time instead.

SF is my favorite city in the country, and yet I didn't vote for it. Didn't vote for SD either even though I lived there for a number of years in the past.

I voted LV. My reasoning? I think it fits the gameplay and theme perfectly. The pursuit of money? Heists? Businesses to invest in? And cool "toys" to spend money on? Can't think of anywhere more fitting than Vegas for that.

This is a good poll. Interesting to think about.

1. San Francisco (but doing this right would be as large an effort as modeling Los Angeles.

2/3. Mexican countryside (as in RDR), Mexican border & Tijuana plus a small version of San Diego (featuring mainly beaches/bays and naval base) as a necessary bordering element on the American side

4. Don't need Las Vegas; there should be a group of Indian casinos out in the GTAV desert, for gambling

San Francisco! I love the the vibe and look of that city! The white rowhouses and steep streets are so unique. I love the neigbourhoods of the city aswell! colgate.gif Haigh-Ashbury full of hippies. The Castro full of gay people. Pier 49 full of tourists. Pacific Heights full of rich, pretentious people. Chinatown full of, well Chinese people. And The Financial District full of skyscrapers and rude businessmen in black suits.

Well said.

The Wolfman

Las Vegas, it's the perfect city to start a crime. So many gangs live there.

LV for the casino heists and night time road trips. We've all seen what LV looks like at night from a distance.

Vegas is nothing but a fake, cheesy, glitzy and overrated city, mainly for the young people who like lights and miniature fake landmarks on every corner.

Personally i would choose SF, the architecture is amazing, and the hills hold great potential for car chases and jumps/stunts.

SF, but I think any other city, whichever it is,would have been good. First it would be nice to have another major airport since there are planes, and not one major airport and airstrips scattered throughout the map. Plus without another city, the countryside would feel somehow incomplete. Back in Sanandreas, the countryside was good in itself, but it had an additional value since it connected between the cities, like you would travel through the farmland and hills to reach SF, or through the desert to reach LV.In V you go out and just return from where you came from. BTW, I'm not disappointed or complaining about anything, I'm sure this game is gonna be bigger and better overall.

San Diego.

Having San Fierro or Last Venturas without the other would just make V an incomplete San Andreas. Having a San Diego equivalent would be something the series hasn't done before.

completely agree.

I'd like R* to be a little more realistic and true-to-real world with the setting, so even though I'd love to see San Fierro or Las Venturas again, I wouldn't want them in GTA V, because real life SF and LV are just too far and too different from LA, it wouldn't make sense for them to be anywhere close to LS and to steal its glory. And I'd just rather have one really well done SF-based game and one really done LV-based game in the future, than half-as*ed, small cities shoved in a game focused on LS. LV especially suffered of this in SA.

San Diego and Tijuana could exist in V's game world, because both of those cities are fairly close to the real LA and not all that different in their atmosphere. They could be like Alderney in IV. However, if we add Tijuana, we would also need to add fairly big mexican countryside. I think it would be just weird if we were able to cross the border over to Tijuana, but wouldn't be able to travel anywhere else. And again, we have a problem with Mexico stealing the resources that would otherwise go to creating a bigger, better LS with countryside surrounding it. We don't know if R* is pushing a limit on current gen consoles with V's world and I'd rather see R* to make big LS and surrounding countryside, where everything is in its place, than struggle with adding all interesting places they came up with and scrap some of them, if there isn't room for them.

So, in the end, I pick San Diego. Of couse, that could also create problems I decribed in previous paragraph, but at least, there wouldn't be need to add more countryside and it would be just cool to have some other, probably Alderney-sized city to travel to across the countryside.

San Francisco. Mostly because of all the Hills. After playing the Driver games. That city was so much fun in those, going off all those hills at fast speeds while being chased by cops, and

then getting hit in mid air by their cars is hilarious and fun. Not to mention the city is huge and has a lot of other epic stuff. Like the Muir Woods National Park which is beautiful.

Tijuana and San Diego belong together imo. Anyway I voted for San Diego. It would be a great deal with Los Angeles and Southern California.
