Savagemessiah
According to this site, GTA V won't be released for Xbox One And Playstation 4, If this already has a thread, then please, no need for bashing, just lock it (haven't figured out the search function yet) The article say: Grand Theft Auto V is one of the most anticipated games of this year and with the next-gen consoles on the horizon, consumers wonder when or if Rockstar plans to port the game over. Speaking to MCV in a recent interview, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick stated that the latest GTA installment would be sticking to current-gen and that they currently have no plans to release a separate version for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Zelnick also added that they expect sales to be enormous and that the absence of GTA V from the next-generation consoles won’t have any real impact on the sales of the game. Previously it was widely speculated that Rockstar would be releasing an iteration for the next-gen consoles as well. Heck, we actually believed all the delay was because they were planning to release it on the next-gen consoles in the first place. However, as things stand there is still a lot of life left in the PS3 and Xbox 360. Speaking of which, the PC version is still something Rockstar isn’t too fond of talking about. Grand Theft Auto V will release for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 17th. A PC version will mostly probably follow suit 6-8 months later. http://segmentnext.com/2013/06/06/gta-v-wo.../#ixzz2VcQDcuVg What do you guy's think about this? MrSpooge
I think it's highly possible for both Sony and Microsoft to pay for Rockstar to bring it to next-gen just to sell some consoles, seriously... Just like COD.. It is a system seller, so never say never. But as of now, I have no idea. It'd be a wise business move in the long run if both companys decided to pay them along with the sales would be a bit of a silly move not to port and advance the game. (Just better have upgraded graphics or if not a cheaper price)
dontdieb4september
lol who the f*ck are segmentnext and why would they know? Rockstar wont miss out on the money from next gen sales.. I couldnt care less because I am not buying next gen but its silly to think they wont. It doesnt make business sense to ignore Millions in profit. HOAXi
If V doesn't come to X1 or PS4 then I'm ok with that. I will play V from day 1 it's released. It will be more exiting to play a new game on the next gen than just the same with just slightly better textures.

AlienWillHeMonsta
Good. Xbox One isn't looking attractive as games console and Sony have yet to reveal their full deck of cards, so I will happily carry on with this gen console.
Secura
People need to remember that the PlayStation 4 has the ability to live stream all of the older games through its Gaikai system and I'm certain that a similar idea or path might be taken by Microsoft's Xbox One. Lock n' Stock
I guess we won't be able to play GTA V on Xbox One at all since those idiots removed backwards compatibility.

Xbox One isn't looking attractive as games console and Sony have yet to reveal their full deck of cards, so I will happily carry on with this gen console. PEOPLE NEED TO REMEMBER ALSO - The Xbox One Reveal was a CONSOLE REVEAL. Not a GAMES REVEAL. Wait till E3 for that.. I stand to be corrected but if Microsoft flops at E3. I'll be buying a PS4. Alzz
I really really really REALLY hope that GTA V does not come to next gen. Cause I want to have a reason to still play my 360 and not have to buy the game again..
gtamann123
I think it's pretty obvious that GTA V won't be released on the next gen consoles anytime soon. Possibly a port for download sometime in the future but deffinitaly not a release title for the next gen consoles and probably not anytime soon. GTAfan786
Even if they change their plans later on, i think they shouldn't risk V on XB1 because that is a total fail of a box. No matter how many good games there are, the actual console and DRM and all that sh*t have killed it. I'm hoping Sony doesn't follow that route, i have faith in them. wwinterj
There is little point porting to next gen consoles. San Andreas never was even with the 360 coming out near that time. GTA V won't either. Just because new consoles are out doesn't mean every high profile game that comes out for current gen consoles need to be ported. This is R* last current gen game(I assume) so there next release will be on next gen. I'd rather a new game be released to make a bigger impact then a port of a game that people would have been playing for months. All a port will do is please a handful of people. Not worth the time nor effort in my opinion. The customer base won't be big enough on next gen consoles until at least a couple of year after launch and by that time R* could have put out a completely new game on the system. GTA V doesn't need next gen to continue to sell.

BoyzNGroveStreet
'they currently have no plans' This. They will eventually, could be months after the next-gen consoles are released tho, who knows, but i think they will, it'd be dumb not to.

Distrom
People need to remember that the PlayStation 4 has the ability to live stream all of the older games through its Gaikai system and I'm certain that a similar idea or path might be taken by Microsoft's Xbox One. Gaikai will take some years after PS4 release to be full functional, the service Is very promising.

Gaikai will take some years after PS4 release to be full functional, the service Is very promising. I hope you realise that Gaikai won't be the only way to play GTA V on PlayStation 4. It's highly likely that GTA V will be up for download on the PlayStation Store, meaning that after a quick download you'll be able to play GTA V. Long story short, GTA V will be playable on the PlayStation 4 and presumably on Xbox One if it too has a similar system to either Gaikai or if it shows up on the XBLA. Though I think it's much more likely for it to end up on PlayStation rather than on the Xbox if only due to the massive sales difference between the two consoles. ChpokXxX
Hahaha, poor consoles ((current generation)) won't be able to run this game at high graphics, that's why pc is here.
Rented
Well it would be a bad idea if rockstar would not release it for Xbox One and PS4 because a lot of little kids are bitching about the grapich but even GTA IV was on it's max due to limitations, I mean what do you expect GTA V is a much bigger game then Forza 4 so Forza can have better grapich and maintain a good FPS so I think in order to please good grapich fans they will release GTA V for next gen when they release it for PC. The New Blueguy
Honestly, they probably won't port it to next-gen. They took five years to make this game and to do it on next-gen, they have to go in and up-res or even redo all the models and textures from the game because porting as is wouldn't be next-gen would it? Also, they'd probably have to put more/exclusive features in to give it a real selling point over current-gen. I mean would you really spend $400 just to play the same game with prettier graphics? I'm sorry but I wouldn't, I'm still getting life out of my current-gen games.
K.Walters
I think it is going to be available through PS Plus and Xbox Live Marketplace, but it might come out in a disc form at some point. I would say around the same time PC version comes out, because if I am correct it will include all the graphics features PC aleady has like AA and other stuff. Matty
It is (or should be) pretty much a given that GTA V won't be released on the next gen consoles as it has been stated, multiple times, by both Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive, that GTA V would be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Still though - anything is possible; but I could not see it happening at all IMO for the reason I mentioned above. Rockstar rarely release games (not including those that are re-released in the Playstation Store or Xbox Live Marketplace) across multiple generations of consoles anyway. Besides, by the time GTA V is released, they'll probably begin work on next-gen titles - if they haven't already.
