Maybe it will force them to realize that there is more fans of this game than just xbox or playstation. They may take PC players more seriously now that there is a "new kid on the block". Hey, Watchdogs is going to be released for wiiU also. I really do hope that Watchdogs makes them at LEAST sit up and take notice of people like me, who will NOT play a GTA game on a console! I play mine strictly on a PC. Why? Because of the absolutely fantastic MODS that you can not get on a console! So if they keep choosing to be releasing the PC version 6 months later, at least now I have something else to play. I am sure GTA V will be a great game, but it irks me that they choose to treat PC players the way that they have and then this new company comes along and releases their game on ALL PLATFORMS! They're releasing a game that's a form of entertainment which of course makes a profit, but they don't have to even release it to the standard in which they do in the first place. Plus, like it or not, consoles are where the most money is. There are way more pirated copies on PC than there are on consoles, and PC crown (a lot of them, not everyone) are graphic whores who wouldn't buy GTA on account of average graphics (in PC possibilities it is average). So they'd rather please their audience that will surely bring in the big money, and PC version will be ported sometimes later. If you didn't get it from my post I AM A PC GAMER WAITING FOR A PC VERSION TOO and I do want it on the same day as console gamers get it. What I said about pirated games IS A FACT. There is a bigger percentage of pirated games on PC and that's one of the big reasons why A LOT of developers, not just Rockstar, have migrated to console market in the last 6-7 years, giving PC gamers ports instead of properly built games for PC. We haven't had a GTA in 5 years, before that it was 4 years. If that's called milking, then I'm not sure of the term is for Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed. Just look at RDR and MP3's collectors and whatnot, claimed that the in-game stuff are exclusive so that they can manipulate people and milk their wallets out of money, then later on they released them as DLCs. There, you get another source of income for people who buy them as DLCs. That's what milking is /IN MY OPINION/. When IV was released for PC, it had improved graphics to the console version. It had a video editor that wasn't in the console version. It had the possibility of mods. Yet people were STILL bitching about it, just because it was 'delayed' (or, really, given more time so an improved version could be provided to the self-entitled PC fans.) R* would be fools to not release a PC version, despite the fact that probably 50% of the people playing it on PC will have pirated it. This is a company that KNOWS it has a huge audience, and they KNOW that they stand to make more money and secure the ability to keep creating amazing games if they expose the game to as many people as possible. PC players, please,. just shut up. I am 100% certain that there's a version of the game in the pipelines for you. You just have to be patient. First two were Sony exclusives. Third was handhelds only. Fourth was GBA only. Piracy on the PC has taken a hit due to Steam however, the rising size of games (MP3, 32GB to download) is having an impact also. EDIT: Also, IV' was a broken, buggy mess at launch on PC. It's taken them seven patches to fix it and it isn't perfect on PC either, so....The dlelay did nada to fix the issues in what was honestly a f*cked up console -> PC port. There was a good reason though to bitch about the PC version of GTA IV. The game was anything than well optimized, and the fact that the official system requirements were way off, as it almost impossible to run the game if you have only met the minimum requirements, was ridiculous. The delay didn't change the fact that IV was a terrible port, which is not a surprise though, because they started to port the console version to the PC platform around the time the initial release happened I presume. I'm sure that the history will not repeat itself, Rockstar learnt from their mistakes and they have released two of their titles for PC since GTA IV in 2008: L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3. The former one was a port but it was a decent one, and it improved even further when Rockstar did release the DirectX 11 patch. The latter one is the latest Rockstar title and it was developed seperatly for each platform; and it was well optimized. So far, we know that both console versions are developed at the same time so perhaps, PC gamers will get the same treatment with GTAV as with MP3. Graphics are a huge part of any game, and I don´t want to enjoy GTA V in 720p at 30fps. I want to experience it in 1080p at 60fps with high res textures and a ton of optional effects that wont be available in the console versions. If you´re fine with the console graphics, then fine, go for it. But don´t go around calling people who want better graphics "graphics whores".
