It's not a rumor by the way, that's one of things that was actually true and mentioned in a lot of previews. He was also accompanied by a guy dressed as Impotent Rage, a superhero.

they would have to much people around with cameras. the police would be able to find you because Rockstar has improved the police AI and wanted system. Not to mention the security detail protecting the celebrity, we would never get close enough to see them let alone shoot them.

This is what we said last time about GTA IV. The exact same thing about random celebrities among the city. Maybe I'm wrong but I never seen any.

Since it's a parody world, I can see a lot of parody celebrities. But I don't think there will be much interaction. Hopefully it's not like San Andreas where walking the streets of Las Venturas you saw 10 of the same Elvis Presley Look-a-Likes in one screen.
