I'd have to say trailer 2. It showed the 3 protagonists and a lot more of the map, and interactions. It also showed Amanda, Tracey, and James for the first time.

I cannot decide what was the best thing thus far. All I know is that time passed pretty fast. When GTAV finally releases, almost two years passed since the announcement and the first trailer. That's a long time and a lot happened during that period. The first trailer got me very excited and back then, I was excited because the game looked a lot better than its predecessors and I liked the theme; and the whole "pursuit of the almighty dollar" thing sounded interesting. I knew from the beginning that it has potential. The wait for new info lasted over eight months, and even then, the only thing we got was two screenshots and the confirmation that planes will return in what is Rockstars biggest title yet. And then, a month later, there was the 10 screenshots week. Good times. The second trailer and the Game Informer cover-story were cool too and both got me more excited again. As for the character trailers, I enjoyed all of them, especially the one of Michael who is my favourite protagonist since the start, even before we were aware of the multiple protagonists system. The latests previews confirmed things that are in the game, that were confirmed not to be in the game in November last year. That is some really cool stuff and I didn't expect that at all.

 

In short, I enjoyed every bit of info we have got ever since the announcement of the game equally, be it the trailers, the screenshots and the tidbits of info from the previews.

My favorite moment during this wait for GTA V is watching the first trailer when it dropped in November of 2011. I had to watch it on my phone in low quality because I didn't have a good signal on my phone, but it was still amazing. Just seeing the opening scene on the beach made my jaw drop, and I honestly think I'll never forget that moment. I must have watched that trailer 15 times that day.

I LOVED trailer 1. So much atmosphere and anticipation. Of course we hadn't heard much of the game yet so I was still breathless in anticipation of hearing about Las Venturas (SF as well, though to a lesser degree for gameplay sake). Don't get me wrong, im crazy excited, but if another major city had been in it I just wouldn't be able to contain myself hahaha.

 

It's REALLY bugging me that im already nostalgic about the trailer to a game I haven't even touched yet -_____-

I picked screenshots, because the hype that came with the police helicopter and lake shots and then waiting for the transport, leisure, business screenshots shortly after. Shows how much can come from R* releasing just some screenshots. Although I have to say by now my hype is pretty much gone and I'm probably getting the last of us instead.
