For those of you that dont know in max payne when bullets hit body armor they did no damage but if they hit where there wasnt any you got hurt. Would you prefer the max payne body armor system or the the classic gta where its essientialy a boost to your health?

Max Payne. It's more realistic and requires a better aim to kill someone. Rather than just pelt them with bullets.

Would anyone like visible body armour aswell? I was thinking more along the lines of if we're wearing a suit or a jacket of some kind it could conceal most of it.

 

Not like in The Godfather II. I hated how stupid it looked.

I would like MP3 area specific dmg as its more rewarding to kill enemies but wont be fussed if it is still the same as GTAIV. Only thing i really wish would happen is that vests were actually visible. It would just look more badass imo.

Yeah, something like what Max Payne 3 had. You could wear body armor and the damage reduction was actually noticeable. Visible body armor would be pretty cool IMO. In MP3, all of my custom characters look badass with their vests.

 

And I hated the Godfather II's armor as well. It was like wearing a big ass shell that made you look stupid.

It's likely GTA V's MP will probably have custom loadouts like in MP3 to give our online characters visible body armour.

 

It looked so cool in MP3, but I would also like to be able to wear open jackets and such over them.

On one hand, I feel the same way, because loading up with your vest, balaclava and AR before you go a-lootin' would be pretty badass. I always felt a proper warfare getup was missing when I played the drug wars in TBOGT.

On the other hand, visible body armor made sense in-universe in MP3, because it was either worn by antagonists in assaults, by uniformed police or by Max when he was shooting the sh*t out of everything within a mile anyway. The gameplay of MP3 was strictly focused on situations where people invariably were shooting at each other.

GTA games take place in a normal, everyday environment. So visible body armor will be awesome on a robbery, but somewhat awkward when just strolling along the beachfront with the missus.

The option of having Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle armour would be cool - sure those guys got shot all the time & it just bounced off them.

 

Then again if you fell on your back from the impact it would be pretty lame - just lying there not able to get up & looking daft.
