Low def digital video is about where we are in game development (that is to say, gta iv can easily be screenshotted and compared to low-def city videos and look very similar) That said, though, it does look like a few telltale things show that it is rendered, particularly the lights and lack of organic/unique details all over - it is very "we are roads, poles, and NOTHING ELSE" - so, very gamey in that sense, but again, that could just be caused by lossy video encoding (much of it, not the blandness/lack of anything but poles)! If anything, it's midnight club, bad video, or something else - for it to be gta, I'll need sources and such. Edited June 7, 2013 by brian. There are hard angles in the angle stripes between the roads with the car pic, and the no-car pic has some telltale signs of texture seams (not seams, but where the seams would be - you can discern different textures tiling) Probably midnight club, need for speed world, need for speed hot pursuit, burnout paradise - it's something, but it's probably not GTA. The blurrier second pic looks like ghosting in 30fps video though. I will like to see the truth behind this one, it's interesting, and a great example of just how far games have come if in fact it is a capture from a digital video. My money is on LazyboyEight and it being midnight club, since he was off to go confirm it and it was blurry enough for that game to look better than it actually does. A moderator can likely give us what he posted, so others aren't left wondering what it was - it looked pretty convincing, but was likely just a screengrab of a game capture from youtube. There is, however, Sunset Blvd, and after driving down there, looking closely, there was no match to the image. But, when I first saw the picture I suspected it was somewhere around Woodrow Wilson Dr. It's hard to tell though, as from what I remember you couldn't see very far in the image.
