Liberty City in GTA V?

I am wandering around with this question for about 2 months. So this is why I am creating this tread.

 

GTA San Andreas featured a mission in which you went to Liberty City (only a small part of the city). The big question is if GTA V will also have this feature.

We already know that there will be gangs and persons from GTA IV in V.

 

Remember: GTA IV was about 15/16 GB, but this features all the dialogues and missions. I think that the city itself will be about 6 GB's, if not less. It would be a very epic option to fly a plane from Los Santos to Liberty City with drugs to get money fast.

 

This is only a thought of me and maybe it is to much hope, but please comment and show what our community thinks about this?

I like to believe that if you already own GTA IV, you will be able to visit liberty city as the new characters and do some missions there :x that would be sweet and a good way to sell some more gta iv for people who hop in for gta v. Highly unlikely, but it would be super intelligent of them, innovative, and revolutionary in gaming.

I would love it if Michael, Trevor, and Franklin could fly to LC whenever I wanted and even had to complete a few heists/missions/side activities there... provided the entire city was free roam accessible. Highly doubt it will happen though.

I think maybe you could leave Liberty City as Michael when you first time start playing. After you've landed to LS, appears a text which says ''after 5 years'' and the intro of the game starts.

wow didn't expect so much answers in such a short period of time.

 

It looks like most people are absolutely sure that it won't be in the game.

I myself think that it will be, but restricted or as DLC. Don't give it big chance it will be there from the beginning, but I hope we can fly there or use the international airport to go there to do a few short missions there. Or kidnap Niko (always wanted to do that ).

ah, that's a bummer, but they lied before about the estates and such, but I already knew it would be only dreams .

 

R* can make as much DLC as they want. That's a lot of luck. If they want to create a big DLC, they just do it. They have enough money to pull it off and a great experienced team. If someone can create a DLC this size for a game, it is R*.

 

I have faith in you R*, but first finish the game, then the almost most logical and hyped zombie DLC, and then try something different like a city. But R* you can't do anything wrong in our eyes!

They would have to change the city a bit of course, Romans cab depot rebuild / demolished, Yusuf's biggest skyscraper finished (I really want to see that), roadworks finished, platypus gone .

They got some crazy modelling to do if they really want it. Or just say that Yusuf lost all his money and/or killed.

I always hoped R* would come out with a time travel DLC with weapons, off road vehicles, and helis for RDR. Hunting with friends out of a Maverick would have been fun.

I don't see us geting the SA style mission.

 

Geting Liberty as DLC? Don't know it's plauseable, they wouldn't have to make many changes to the city maybe finish up some of the construction that was present in IV since it's been Five years but aside from that the general layout could remain the same, just fix some small things and add a few as well but most of it could be a straight up port, with some small additions.

 

That said I think they're done with LC they've done two games set there (CW and IV), and two DLCs as well all in one gen, as much as I like Liberty City, I personally think, they're done with LC this gen, and I'd prefer another city personally if they do a big DLC this time arround as well.

 

Las Venturas would fit right in with the heist theme, could add more country side as well as LV and some small towns (Primm rip off anyone?), and they could even make it so you could drive there.

To be honest, as much as I love GTA IV, I'm ready for a fresh new version of Los Santos and that's all. I think it's time to leave behind the grimey Liberty City and enjoy some sunshine. Of course, I don't mean never play GTA IV again, but Los Santos is big enough and awesome enough to standalone in the game without the need to revisit old turf.

Just because IV was a sh*t game doesn't mean the city its self was sh*t, Liberty City with all the new features and updated graphics would be f*cking amazing, its not like you would have to go there i guess you people are to dumb to realize that though.

As tempted as I was to vote the currently-most-popular option ("OP's crazy"), I voted the "maybe, but I hope" instead. It would require very little work from R* I imagine, and it would be sweet to be able to visit LC with all these cool new features (3 protags, planes, underwater, new activities, etc...
