rayman617 Posted June 7, 2013 Share Posted June 7, 2013 PS3 version will probably be on one blu-ray while the X360 version may have multiple dvds. However this shouldn't affect how the game runs. I have GTA IV on both systems and find that the X360 version runs better (less slow down) with some higher res textures. Does anyone know what system will have the advantage with GTA V? So what if it runs marginally better on one console, so marginal, in fact, that a difference is only noticed when the graphics are microscopically analysed? Seriously? It's the exact same game, it will basically look identical on both consoles. The only thing that topics like this ever achieve is managing to start a console war between 12 year olds who will defend their console (that mummy bought for them) to the absolute bone. matt_be Posted June 7, 2013 Share Posted June 7, 2013 To put an end to this, Rockstar told some of the people who got to see the initial preview that they were developing GTA V side by side for the Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3. There are no ports this time. That pretty much means that they can make sure that the game runs just as good on one console as it does the other. Going by the information we have it is true. Why would Rockstar show off the worst looking version? They shown off GTA IV and RDR on 360. MP3 I don't know but they look the same in every way. The lead-platform of GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption was the Xbox 360, hence the games looked slightly better and had a small advantage when it comes to the performance on that platform, compared to the PlayStation 3. Max Payne 3 on the other hand was developed parallel for all platforms, which is the reason as to why the difference on both consoles was barely noticable. The AA is a bit different on each platform and light sources render a bit further on the Microsoft console but that's it pretty much. The difference of the performance isn't that big either. Considering that GTAV is also developed simultaneously for PS3 and X360, you can expect the same thing as with the latest Rockstar title.
