Will GTA V get repetitive?

If V is centered around heists, do you think it will get repetitive? Heists are probably the most exciting type of mission, but if most of the missions are preparing for the 6 heists (iirc, there will be 6), don't you think that V will have a lack of diversity in missions? Obviously we haven't played yet, so what do we know, but I'm really hoping that the game doesn't get repetitive after awhile. Steal a truck, gather a crew, get weapons, rob a bank, insane shootout and escape through downtown Los Santos, go play some golf, rinse and repeat.

Obviously we haven't played yet

Well, that basically concludes this thread.

Rockstar promises loads of side-missions and variety, plus there'll probably be different ways in which you pull off heists. There's also the multiplayer to look forward to. I'm convinced they'll be hours of gameplay, so don't worry.

At least it won't be "go here, kill this guy/these people" like GTA IV was.

This thread is pretty useless. There's obviously gonna be other missions besides heists.

This pretty much sums up to what i was going to say.

There will be other things to do in the game besides heist like customizing cars and doing yoga and tennis.

Leafy Hollow

Maybe after 100+hours of playing sure.

If you repeat playing after you have lost interest I assume, like most everything, it will become repetitive. Luckily for me, I able to amuse my self for years on end with games like this.

I guess if you play it over and over again a short period of time, it might get repetitive to some people. But I think that's why R* included so many side-missions and activities in the game.

I think the free-roam alone will last everyone a very long time and will save the game from repetition. If it gets too repetitive just take a break and do some side-activities or missions. Not to mention the huge map that includes an explorable ocean, countryside and city.

I think we'll be fine.

Personally I think Heists are kind of boring so yeah I'd much rather do like sniper missions, then again people will say those are boring because everybody likes different things. Will the game become repetitive? Yes every GTA game becomes repetitive as there is only so many times you can drive across the map to meet somebody & then drive back across the map to kill somebody else before it gets repetitive haha.

Every game gets repetitive, if it doesn't you may be slow.

As long as the Free Roam last for a long time then it won't get repetitive. If the online free roam is like RDR then it would make it better.

I HIGHLY doubt every mission will be a heist, that wouldn't even make sense. According to R* there is only 3 Major Heists in the game.

Whether or not there will be practice ones or "little" heists beforehand we will find out I guess. But its GTA, GTAs were never centered around "one" single mission. There has always been all sorts of

missions that had to do with other stuff. So no...it probably won't be repetitive at all actually when it comes down to it.

After having invested five years of meticulous programming and configuration of Grand Theft Auto: V's framework, Rockstar will definitely ensure that there is a myriad of points of interest, which will lure gamers in. smile.gif

You're sure that R* said 3 heist? Most of the things i have read said about 5 or 6 heist.

It's 5 or 6. Not sure where he got 3 from...

I can see heists and prepping missions as side missions tbh.

I'm sure they'll be a main story too.
