Grand Analysis, end all be all:

✓ FACT - You no longer gather ammo just by passing over it. Now you have to press a button. Much like in previous games where you needed to press a button to pick up a weapon that you already had the slot for occupied - now we have different kinds of ammo, it makes sense to make you press a button, since it is likely to change your ammo also, which has its own slot. Consider ammo a "second weapon system", and you see how this works

✓ FACT - KWKR is the first confirmed radio. Described as a mixture of Vladivostok and TBoGT's Electroshoc, playing electronic music ranging from k-pop to American trance. (NOTE: I think the guy mistaken Electroshoc with Vladivostok, which was replaced by an all new radio) Can't see why this would be falsified.

✓ FACT - A HEALTH remix of a The xx song was played in said station. Cool, I wish he paid more attention to the game than the music, I guess. wub wub whatever.

✓ FACT - Crews can schedule their missions though Rockstar Social Club. That way you can be warned in-game that your partners are going for a heist and such. First bit of info about drop-in and revamped multiplayer - payday the heist is in GTA V multiplayer modes. It won't be as fun as payday, third person will not compete with that game's first person heist multiplayer. GTA V's best MP mode will be racing, like IV was, but better/expanded/triathlons/airplanes etc.

✓ FACT - Week days return and will affect gameplay (i.e.: Sunday most things will be closed and streets will be loaded at Friday night). Natural evolution of things we already saw in other games, week days already effected gameplay "at least" since San Andreas.

✓ FACT - Each radio will comment on the aftermath of the missions, like SA and VCS. Another given, this time, since GTA III, perhaps prior.

✓ FACT - You can place a bike in the Bobcat. It's implied you can do the same with jetskis using larger pick-up trucks. Makes total sense for taking a sanchez up into the woods without getting a wanted level, since golf carts are illegal, clearly non-street-legalized dirtbikes will be as well.

✓ FACT - It's impossible to shoot friends (like RDR).

✓ FACT - Line of sight system works as perfectly as a stealth game. It was already there, the rules about it have just been changed a little - in GTA IV, you needed to be within the circle for police to keep coming, and one needed to SEE you to engage. Now, you don't have to leave the radius, that's all, that's the only difference, is that line of sight is used for the "radius check", instead of only for engaging or not.

✓ FACT - Some of the complaining were about more taxi cabs than normal vehicles in the streets Expect the CONSOLE VERSIONS to be taxi-ridden low-memory mode version of the game. The taxi is "gta's default vehicle" as far as code is concerned. When there is low memory, they are spawned everywhere. So, we now know, GTA V is too much for current consoles, and will be low on memory often enough that their flagship demo shows it

- It's impossible to shoot friends (like RDR).

First thing I did in RDR (by mistake) Was shoot my own horse.

It ran at me when I was shooting wolfs - and it got shot in the head.

I am glad I wont be able to kill them as I am a bad shot - BUT what about the hired help you need on some missions - can you kill them / are they classed as friends?

I bet you can kill the heist helpers. It makes sense: Kill them and keep their share - BUT, you lose a leveled up, awesome heist guy - choose wisely.

Overgrowth has a pretty awesome system:
I can only hope GTA V has something like it.

I LIKE IT.

No idea about that. We'll have to wait and see.

Brian, good stuff. But i think you are taking that other article too seriously about not being able to use golf carts on the road. I don't believe that will happen at all. The whole article was written in a joking manner anyway. If we can;t even ride dirtbikes wherever the f*ck we want without getting a wanted star.....then... suicidal.gif .

Clearly not true.

Nightlife is always packed. Especially downtown&hollywood

Dude that said nightlife is dead must be 12 or doesn't gp out much

I'm a bit less than double that age. We don't all live in the same country with the same cultural protocol for going out. You don't realise this and make assumptions about my life? Sounds like you're reflecting your insecurities onto someone else on the interweb.

I agree. Just cause we do it one way here in the states, doesn't mean other countries do it the same exact way. Different countries have different life styles... it's as simple as that really.

K-pop, seriously? Well then again I've only heard Gangnam Style.

Everything else I'm liking though.

Not a fan about picking up ammo by pressing a button, in this game you'll probably be shooting and running all the time and won't have too much time to stop and pick up ammo!

It would be better to pick up the ammo automatically when stepping over it IMO

The streets are loaded on Friday night? Don't know about LA but that isn't the case here. I know for a fact the night life is dead here on Fridays.

Edit: This isn't a comparison between the US night life and how it is in my country. Friday being a busy night surprised me as it's not something I am accustomed to. Thought I'd clarify as for some reason my bewilderment upset some users.

That's very much a Sydney mentality. Friday nights in Melbourne are packed. (I've witnessed both)

I asked the guy for the link to the Gamespot thread, but for now:

A few of them sound awesome, hopefully doesn't turn out to be nonsense.

This guy didn't really go out on a limb info wise did he? Majority of what he said is obvious, but the whole "no friendly fire thing" is a bit iffy for me. I guess I can understand with multiple protags, but I would like less hand holding from R* and devs of openworld games in general.

What he said sounds pretty plausible, but screams "I JUST PULLED THIS OUTTA MY ASS"

Well, we have learned "you will only really see fine sports cars in the high end parts of the city, other vehicles elsewhere"

Thus, what stops you from only finding Sanchez's on the road outside of the city limits? What stops the idea of taking your golf cart - which you "rented" for golf and stealing it from there - wouldn't get you a wanted level, and any time your spotted, renewed wanted level from being awesome and fun and a challenging way to go about playing the game?

We've seen them using sanchez dirtbikes as escape vehicles, but have we seen those in any normal traffic yet? That would be helpful to debunking the idea that some of the many vehicles in the game are more than just free-ride-anywhere vehicles. I'm sure you can't land a chopper in traffic without trouble. And I don't think sanchez was ever seen in normal traffic in san andreas except for in the appropriate areas, the countryside and along the many trails and mountains around chiliad and the desert.

I derived the speculation to that part from using the logic that "if i can't ride a street-illegal golf cart, why can i ride a street-illegal dirtbike?"

There are some opinion in the analysis of the listed details I made, but I think they are more additive than conjectural. Think GTA V o Clock, in that manner.

I don't think the sanchez being "outskirts only" would hurt anything, I am sure there are quite a few more motorcycles and I wouldn't be surprised if there are new dirtbikes along side the sanchez, street legal ones too. Maybe the sanchez will be the streetlegal one, and other ones are not, etc. All speculation.

Well, there's a screenshot or two where we see Franklin on a dirtbike and it's in the city, we can't really see if a cop is behind him, but he could be just cruising there. Really though, we don't need these kind of rules in GTA. But i have great faith in this developer, that if they do put it in the game, it won't ruin it. They will have done so in a good way.

Ahahahaha you're kidding me right?

Press a button to get ammo? Yes this is totes legit.

You had to do this in RDR and MP3, why is it so unbelievable?

Isn't this a bad thing?

"Some of the complaining were about more taxi cabs than normal vehicles in the streets"

I think the article may have been misquoted. This is a criticism some people had about IV. From the screenshots of V it looks like this isn't the case (also how would there be complaining if the game isn't out yet?).

I don't remember pressing a button to pick up ammo.

Russian previews, I believe.

Americans and British trusting Russian reports has never turned out to be a bad thing.

Fully admitting I'm talking out of my ass and I'm in the same boat. It's definitely from non-English third-party forum sites; I've seen both Russian and Polish sites referenced.

EDIT: I don't say "non-English" to be an ethnocentric asshole; I'm merely emphasizing the need to question translations.

but wait a second, what the HELL are you getting so wound up about???

You compared a completely different city AND country, on a Friday night to another place entirely.

If you're not from LA then what the f*ck does it matter what your own nightlife is like??

Friday/Saturday nightlife here (Glasgow, Scotland) is the busiest of the week.

I think its just a general AVERAGE worldwide assumption that nightlife is busiest on a Friday because most people have finished work for the week.

Wow.
