Shaunr
I couldn't find any threads here for just Bowie, so I thought I'd make one. I think most people have heard of him, and know some of his songs like "Under Pressure", "Suffragette City", "Fame", "Let's Dance." Probably even "Somebody up There Likes Me" or "Fascination" because of GTA. You may not be surprised if I tell you he has a lot more great songs, and he does. Several months ago I discovered some more great tracks of his on Spotify. Not many. Just a few. But then I watched this: Basically it's a video of a lot of his best work, as well as the work he's done with other artists (Lou Reed, Iggy Pop). I quickly discovered that Bowie was a genius and so I gave more and more of his music a try. I have to be honest that with many of his songs- I didn't particularly love it with the first listen. It was like, "I'm not too sure what I think about this." I think that may be why he has so much overlooked stuff. A lot of it you have to listen a couple times so you can decide if you really like it or not. That's how it was with his newest album, "The Next Day", I didn't particularly love it first listen. However, it didn't take long for me to realize it was full of great songs. Anyway, Bowie is a genius and I hope you all look him up on Spotify or wherever because he has a sh*tload of incredible music. Lets post some great Bowie stuff now: Edited June 7, 2013 by playaindahood

GreatGig
I truly love Bowie's latest album. The title track is a shining example of his excellence. And, of course, Five Years is an incredible song. Very touching. I don't know if it's still up, but there was an excellent documentary about Bowie on the BBC's iPlayer not too long ago. I highly recommend giving it a watch if you can find it. Amazing. QnOmrDzRrGQ[/youtube Very well done, but I couldn't get myself to like Beck's singing. Bowie's version still crushes Beck's for me. Shaunr
My favorite David Bowie stuff is the soundtrack to Labyrinth! The song 'As The World Falls Down' is amazing. Yes, he had a lot of great songs in that soundtrack. For me the best is underground Next would probably be what you said, As the world falls down I don't think i actually liked that one until I watched the movie though. Same was with Magic Dance Also Within You If anyone has not watched that movie then you need to watch it.
