Ziggy455
9/11 is really blown way out of proportion. The only reason why it's talked about over and over is that it was a terrorist attack(or so they claim) in the United States. Every month there are tragedies where a lot more people get killed. It's about time to get over it. Every month, events occur that fundamentally change the entire political, social and strategic landscape of the world? Na. I'd agree that 9/11 was one of the worst things to hit America - no pun intended - but there's nothing that really hit that sort of global mark of terror since that day. It has been ten years and it is time to move on. "I might have laughed if I'd have remembered how."

This is probably due to the sh*tty US media and their attempt to make a story out of everything. However, we are "over it" but that doesnt mean we are going to forget about it, or not be emotionally affected by the events anymore. I am really big into watching documentaries on the holocaust. It was a god awful thing that affected more people than I could imagine. I dont walk around crying about it on a daily basis. But I am affected by the thought of what happened. I know 9/11 was no holocaust, but the bottom line is ALOT of people died for no good f*cking reason in both events. Thats not something any normal person should just forget about. Such a handy thing to bring up if you need to brainwash a country. 9/11 is the best thing that could have happened for them I bet! They must be loving it. Shyabang Shyabang
This reminds me of what my older cousin told me. He told me that when he was in middle school, he and his classmates weren't as concerned about nukes and ballistic missles as much as their teachers were. His teachers grew up at a time when the Cold War was in danger of a possible nuclear war. This was when kids went through nuclear war drills by ducking under their desks. By the time my older cousin got into middle school, the Cold War in Europe was already over. My cousin said that he understood the dangers, but he didn't feel the same level of fear as much as his teachers did.
sivispacem
Very smart guy Zeitgeist? Not compatible. Belief in unsubstantiated, baseless and logically and empirically flawed conspiracy theories makes one "very smart" how exactly? Oh, wait, I'm a paid shill. So I would say that. twinkiller
Does it still get to me? No not really. But I will always remember what happened on that day as should all of us. Hold the victims in your hearts.
