OT: yeah I probably will. I still play VC, SA, and IV. The only gta games ive really ever "given up" playing were gta 3, LCS, and VCS. Those ones didn't have as much staying power as the other ones. and VC I really only visit as sort of a vacation from SA and IV haha but that's still often enough.

 

I can see SA dropping into that same territory that VC has with me. SA will be my san fierro and las venturas vacations, just as VC is my vice city vacation.

I still have III/VC/SA for PS2 but my launch model PS3 died so I can't play them. Also, I'm not willing to buy them again from PSN since I already bought them for my mac (which died so can't play those versions either) and I have III/VC on my iPhone but I hate playing them on it because of the screen/controls. I'm not buying them for my windows laptop simply because I don't like gaming on laptops/PC's and I'm not paying to play them on PSN.

 

Truth be told I've been playing the games for the last 9-12 years. I've completed them many times and I think it's just time to move on.

 

I sold my copy of IV for PS3. I didn't really enjoy it and couldn't bring myself to play it again. It is a good game but the story is one of those I could only play once. I spent 5 years just loading it up to just drive about causing chaos. I was tired of it so got rid of it.

 

I'm waiting patiently for GTA V. I might not be a hardcore GTA fan but I don't care. I just hope GTA V holds up for as long as San Andreas.

I've installed and played it again starting dec 2012 because I hoped it gets me more hyped for V… but to be honest I was missing lots of things that will be in V

 

Maybe when I've played through V and have enough of the westcoast I might go back and play it again… but I don't think so.

I do plan on playing through IV right after V. I will not go back to the others, I feel they lack atmosphere that is in V & IV. Besides, IV and V are connected in more ways then one.

I still played Vice City and San Andreas recently (can't really get back into III, though that is kinda my favourite). I go back to the old GTA's less and less, Maybe when GTA V is out I'll be going back to GTA IV more.

A few months back I bought the GTA sale on Steam, all GTAs from 1 to EFLC for $7.24, once I get my gaming pc around october I will replay everything from III and await for the PC version of V.

Do we still play old GTAs. Yes. Most of us do, so of course we'll play them after V gets boring, and it will, it may take a year or two.. but we'll learn every corner of LS, every wood in the forests and we'll just want something different. So we'll go back to Liberty City. Or even back to SA to visit San Fiero and Las Venturas and all that.

I dont own a xbox or ps3 so no GTA V until it evades PC,right now i am happy with my ps2
