Back to GTA, in GTAIV when you crashed a wall you would get some cracks on it, but I doubt they'll include those in building walls, and most likely by crashing you'll break your plane wings.

I think that's all that will happen, a few cracks in the wall.

Not a problem for me though.

In this game since there is no buildings destruction physics, nothing will happen, it will be the same as crashing a building in GTAIV with an helicopter.

 

In reality it would be a lot different, but not like 9/11, that day all the laws of physics were broken multiple times and it never happened again, oh they were in Boston bombings too, where bombs explode outside and glass is blasted from inside, but thats another talk.

The buildings will not be damaged. This is an open world game, so do not expect battefield-style destruction.

The plane should suffer extreme damage, broken wings etc, and control lost. It would still be possible to bail out, and survive, unless a direct impact, in which case an explosion is imminent.

 

That's what i expect. No 9/11 sim by levelling a building - rockstar would not get away with that.

I want different results depending on how we crash. If you fly close to a building and the wing hits off it I expect the wing to break and you lose control. In Just Cause 2 when you hit your wing off something going fast the plane just explodes.

if you crash into the building in GTA 5 the game should automatically switch off then suddenly the FBI come smashing into your house throwing flashbangs and tazing everybody. Then one of the dudes take their mask off and its dan houser saying "GTA motherF***r".

The thing is, helicopters can stop instantly and be fine - if that happens to a plane it's going to fall right out of the sky, so it's not really the same at all. I do suspect helicopters will react the same way as in IV though.

I chose bounce off because I dont think the environment will be destructible to that point, for obvious terrorist acts and lastly because I really suck at flying and I will most likely be crashing into buildings without trying and I dont want to get blown up by the plane exploding or getting a bunch of stars because I damaged a building.

This isn't really a prediction of what Rockstar have decided to do about it, more about finding out which outcome is preferred by players. I personally think the first option (plane simply blows up) is what will happen, and is probably the best choice. If the building gets heavily damaged, how would it be repaired? Would it just suddenly repair itself like in GTA IV (cracks on walls)?

 

And on a side note, what will/should happen when the blimp is flown in to a building? It'll hardly go fast enough to explode on impact. Will it deflate or what? Guess I'll find out >

The Plane should engulf the building in flames, and let us watch and laugh as Los Santos's people jump from the buildings to their death like Lemmings.

Then finding out China was responsible and then you have to recruit in the army and go to war with a neighbouring less threatening Country of China and steal their natural resources.

Even though destructive buildings sound cool, I don't think it will ever be implented in GTA V

GTA revolves around the character being a terrorist... You run down the streets with a minigun shooting anyone in sight... YOU ALREADY ARE A TERRORIST.

 

This should have no correlation with the attacks that happened over a decade ago. An aircraft flying into a building is just one of the million of different things to do in an open world game, same with flying a plane into a dock like pearl harbor or opening fire in a mall like the Oregon attacks.. get over it America.
