Flying planes in to buildings

This isn't really a prediction of what Rockstar have decided to do about it, more about finding out which outcome is preferred by players. I personally think the first option (plane simply blows up) is what will happen, and is probably the best choice. If the building gets heavily damaged, how would it be repaired? Would it just suddenly repair itself like in GTA IV (cracks on walls)?

 

And on a side note, what will/should happen when the blimp is flown in to a building? It'll hardly go fast enough to explode on impact. Will it deflate or what? Guess I'll find out >

I never suggested that they could/should/would collapse - that's not a good idea at all. By heavily damaged, I mean (forgive me) like after the planes flew in to the WTC. Yes they collapsed, but that wouldn't make sense in a game. Of course there's going to be controversy if they collapse, and possibly even if they get damaged. At least it's not New York, that'd be bad.

Impacted and surrounding windows could shatter, it could catch a temporary fire, nearby onlookers could freak and scatter, news could be on your radio station (like after certain missions).

 

Doesn't have to be permanent at all, or actual "dents" into the building. Thirty seconds later it could all be gone.

 

Don't know if I just want the plane to "turn black and explode." Maybe it could smush/wreck/break or something as well, but I don't know how their damage modeling is.

I would like the plane to at least disintegrate and if possible have it do damage to buildings. Although, I don't think realism like that will be able to be until until we are able to get quantum computers and consoles.

Buildings should take heavy damage as I voted, but I doubt this gen consoles...

 

I am hoping my PS4 can show damaged electrical wires, plumbing, insulation, the whole enchilada, just like real life.

Simply blowing up like in SA. The game is already packed with tons of features and a huge map, adding a Battlefield like destruction of environment to buildings would just simply not be realistic to add in the game. Plus if you simply fly a plane into a building it wouldn't come crumbling down.. and this is where I'll stop before the whole 911 conspiracy thing comes into play lol.

 

EDIT: Maybe the base of a building, but not the mid/high sections.

I remember the mythbusters did this with a car a while back, f*cking disintegrated!

 

Imagine in V doing this and getting wasted. Little pile of ash goes into the hospital, (whichever protag you were controlling) comes out, looking good as new!

 

OT: Should bounce off, or explode on impact depending on the player's momentum. No destructible buildings, unless part of a mission. I would hate it if you would blow a chunk out of a building just to see it come back or stay damaged and ruin the vista. Its a lose-lose situation, imo. Even if we had the hardware for destructible environments.

It's obviously just going to explode, but if I was the one to make that call on the dev team I'd add building damage as well. Unfortunately, it can't be done on such a huge and complex game like GTA V running on these 8 year old machines. That and there's the fact that the game would immediately be spammed all over the news as a 9/11 simulator.

It would cause too many problems here in america with all the politacly correct people. Just have the plane blow up. No collateral damage. And besides the map is too big I think for every building to be demolished

It's highly unlikely that big passenger jets are flyable anyway, so it wouldn't be as big of an issue.

Well ya, according to the guys that braiwash the "sheeple" I'm a conspiracy theorist, well I like to think of my self as an original thinker (I use my brain, I don't eat with a spoon all the crap the TV tells me), but if people understand that dyslogistic term better I don't mind it. Oh I'de like to also give you a hint, did you knew the guy that allegedly shot Osama Bin Laden was found dead after committing suicide? Did you knew the guys that shot the "terrorists" from Boston bombings were announced today as dead because they both fell of an helicopter?, did you knew one of the victims of 9/11 that said to the press she would never rest till the cover-up was turned public was found hanging herself in her room? Did you know Billy Cooper and ex-high military patent from the Navy told in some radio shows exactly 1 year and later 1 month before 9/11 that an operation would take place soon and Osama Bin Laden (CIA operative spying on Russia, leader of a fake terrorist group named Al-QAEDA created by the CIA for those operations)? You can still find the recordings of that radio show, and you can also read some of Billy Cooper books and you'll see what he said back then is happening now, including the shootouts and gun control.

 

Oh and just by coincidence, you can also check this yourself. In 9/11 morning the FEMA was in the street conducting an "exercise" about terrorists hijacking planes, 1 week before NORAD did the same and in that day the "exercise turned real", in the 7/7 bombins in London the Mi5 was making exercises of terrorist attacks in the subway and on the bus, minutes later the exercise turned real, in SandyHook shootings in a school near it there was an exercise of a shootout (in fact most of the images the TV shown to you with cops around were from that school, not SHE), in Boston Bombings during the event there were exercises of terrorists using bombs, and a lot of black op operatives with black backpacks, and minutes later the exercises turned real ... I was told that somewhere in July there will be some exercises in NY for a few days involving the use of gas in 21 of the stations... I would stay away if I were you.... can you the pattern?

 

I'll shut up now, just in case someone wants to turn off the TV and look for the answers himself I gave a lot of hints about what to look for.

Back to GTA, in GTAIV when you crashed a wall you would get some cracks on it, but I doubt they'll include those in building walls, and most likely by crashing you'll break your plane wings.
