mchl
Like the topic says, I'm having trouble rotating a weapon (in this case the default Colt45) so that it points towards the crosshair when aimed. I've extracted the default Colt45 and renamed it to desert_eagle. This has all gone fine but when aimed the weapon points to the left of the crosshair and not the actual location of the crosshair. The default Colt45 is pointed slightly to the left when imported to 3ds Max so I've rotated it (using the select and rotate tool) to point straight down the X axis instead of to the left. I export the DFF using Kam's GTA Scripts but open the recently exported DFF to find that the rotation hasn't saved and that it is back in the default facing. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I've not got much experience with 3ds Max so some help would be greatly appreciated. Here are some pictures to illustrate what's happening... Default Facing Corrected Facing When I export the model in it's corrected facing it reverts to it's default facing for some reason. lolleroz
Choose the rotate option, then look at the right side of your interface there should be several categories and options, there should be a list like: Affect pivot only Affect model and pivot Affect model only choose the last one, 'affect model only', then reposition your model and export it. Thanks, that worked. I've also found out that reseting the Xform sometimes works as well.
