The graphics look more like GTA IV than Red dead

I never thought GTA IV had nice graphics, it was too blurry to see anything and the building were just photos from real life stuck to side of buildings. Now i see GTA IV submarine picture and it just looks like GTA IV even the water looks black and murky like GTA IV. I thought the game looked good in trailer 1 but the graphics seem to have become like GTA IV since they delayed the game.

It went from vibrant and fun in trailer 1 to grim and dark like GTA IV in the new screenshots.

It does not look anywhere near as good graphic as red dead redemption.

You must be high. GTA IV has no submarine. tounge.gif

On a more serious note the trailer and screens have been touched up. We haven't seen in game screen shots so can't really say how the graphics are. We can not also say the graphics have been reduced since the delay. If anything the graphics would improve. whatsthat.gif

I've no doubt the graphics will be on par with Red Dead Redemption if not better. smile.gif

RDR's graphics were and still are fantastic, despite it being a 3 year old game. GTAV looks even better than RDR.

Dude, it's just the weather making it like that. The game is still plenty colorful and better than GTA IV.

@Mr. Darko, he's referring to the screenshot that the OneNewScreenshot guy posted with the submarine.

Some people just can't stand the truth and prefer to live in Matrix.

Miss Darko

I kind of figured, although he added that bit after I posted.

Honestly, just because GTA IV isn't sunny doesn't mean its graphics are bad. I never felt that GTA IV's visual flaws were in its climate or color palette. The problem with GTA IV was the blur filter, and how it handled certain environmental conditions (for instance, the game never really looks overcast, because the game just makes the sunlight blue or brown instead of covering everything in shadow as it should be).

GTA V has improved on both counts, and looks like it handles the more dreary weather conditions better than GTA IV did. That means that the graphics are better, and every screenshot looks more like RDR to me than GTA IV, although there are certainly similarities to GTA IV. Overall, though, the art direction and color palette is quite different. One screenshot doesn't change that.

Actually, GTA IV is 5 years old, not 3.

Also, I like GTA IV's graphics and I hope GTA V plays more similarly to GTA IV then Red Dead and hopefully a LOT more similar to GTA IV then Max Payne 3.

GTA IV graphics are still good today. GTA V are better. The models are a lot skinnier, and not as fat as Niko looks. The water is near an industrial area, so yea, it is probably supposed to be mucky and dirty. You find clean beautiful in the wild, and maybe under some bridges.

The textures of trees and shadows are f*cked up right from the beginning also the blurry and the unsharp draw distance are ugly especially on daytime.rdr redemption was and is stunning.what a difference and gta v will only look better.

No it is an edited photo of Gta IV, the same color palet, the water is the same he just added Los Santos there and the submarine which will almost pop out of the fuc*ing screen

Considering GTAV would've already been a beast game with GTAIV's same graphics but just a different city, no I am not disappointed. I'd advise you to play the game before you criticise the graphics.
